Washington County Commissioners
Washington, PA, February 18, 1993
The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session in the
Public Meeting Room, Courthouse Square, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following
members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Ford. Also being present:
Tina Dallatore, Chief Clerk; Mel Bassi, Solicitor; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II;
Lou Lignelli, Director of Administration; Roland Bourke and Lou Dagoctino of the
Redevelopment Authority; Linda Ritzer and Mario Mullig, Ohserver-Reporter; Jim
Jefferson, WJPA; and Kris Schiffbauer, Herald Standard,
Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately
10:05 a.m. and noted that approval of Minute No. 435 would be held in abeyance.
SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS I
Roland Bourke, Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority, presented
to the Board for their consideration and approval a Resolution approving proposal for
redevelopment of Disposition Parcel. Nos. 38 through 42 to be known as Parcel No. 63 as
shown on Drawing No. 831011-63 in the Southpointe Economic Development Project by
Gustine Southpointe Associates, 'Ltd., and the Redevelopment Contract with said
developer.

Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Ford, adopting the Resolution as per

Motion carried unanimously.
CITIZENS' COMMENTS
There were no citizens' comments.
CORRESPONDENCE
Chief Clerk made- available to the news media a News Release relative to the
following project:
1. Donora Street Improvements Project
NEW BUSINESS
Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a
Renewal of Service Agreement with Specialized Communication Business, Inc., for
maintenance of the !LS equipment at the Airport at a cost of $600.00 a month. This is
a one-year renewal, retroactive to November 1, 1992 through October 31, 1993.
Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Ford, approving the Renewal of Service 40
Agreement as per above.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Ford - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara -Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.

Chief Clerk presented to the Board for -their consideration and approval
renewal of the Public Officials Liability insurance with -National Union Insurance
X Company 'through McMahon Kenneth and Associates, Inc. This renewal is for the period

LL of February 12, 1993 to February 12, 1994, at a cost $34,000.00, which is a reduction
of $8,000.00 from the previous year's annual premium.

Chief Clerk requested authorization to advertise for bids for an Electronic
Monitoring System for the Jail. It was noted that the current contract expires
March 31, 1993.
Moved by Mr. Ford, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, authorizing the Chief Cle--k to
advertise for bids for an Electronic Monitoring System for the Jail as per above.

Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the
following travel requests;
