members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Ford. Also being present:

Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Chris

Enzerra, Herald Standard; Bob Dulaney of Washington Ford; and B. R. Trotter of Russell
Standard Corporation.
0 Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately
10:10 a.m. and noted that approval of Minute Nos. 443 and 444 would be held in
abeyance.
CITIZENS' COMMENTS
There were no citizens' comments.
NEW BUSINESS
Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a
Grant Application to be submitted to PennDOT for continuation of funding of the
Washington Regional Highway Safety Program for the period of October 1, 1993 through
September 30, 1994. The amount being requested is $136,000.00.
Moved by Mr. Ford, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving submission.of the
Grant Application as per above.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Ford - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
Chief Clerk requested authorization to advertise for bids for a land records
information system consisting of hardware and software to integrate the Recorder of
Deeds Office with the County's real estate tax system.
0 Moved by Mr. Ford, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, authorizing the Chief Clerk to
advertise for bids as per above.

Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the
following travel requests:
