HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 352 - 5-30-1991 - COMMISSIONER124 w Washington County Commissioners Washington, PA, May 30, 1991 The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session in the Public Meeting Room, Courthouse Square, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Solicitor Bassi; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Coroner Jackson; Dave Suski, JTPA Director; Jim Henry, Director of Children and Youth; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Colleen Gentilcore, Herald Standard; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Cliff Gorski and Matt Lucas, WESA; Mark Snodgrass and Ray Williams, interested citizens. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately 10:10 a.m. and entertained a motion to approve Minute Nos. 349, 350 and 351. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving Minute Nos. 349, 350 and 351 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval Purchase of Service Agreements with the following providers relative to the Children and Youth/Juvenile Probation Departments for FY91/92: Abraxas Adelphoi Village Agape Allencrest Detention Center Alternative Rehabilitation Communities, Inc. Auberle Bethesda Children's Home Bradley Center Center for Assessment & Treatment of Youth, Inc. Counseling & Care Services Circle C Group Home Diversified Human Services, Inc. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a Maintenance of Service Agreement with Unisys Corporation for the tape drive of the Unisys 5000 equipment which was inadvertently omitted from the existing service agreement on the remainder of the 5000 equipment. The cost of the agreement is $68.23 per month, and the term of the agreement is ongoing. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the Maintenance of Service Agreement as'per above and* authorizing the 'Chairman of, -the Board to so execute. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their approval and ratification a Letter of Support submitted to the State Library of Pennsylvania relative to a LSCA Title III grant sought by the Washington Hospital Medical and Nursing Libraries and the Washington County Law Library in the amount of $34,664.00 for the inter -library cooperation and resource sharing project. r rA/ MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA FRANK R MASCARA, METRO PETROSKY, JR , EDWARD M. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval an Agreement with Barber -Colman Company for maintenance of the automatic temperature controls at the Washington County Health Center. The cost of the agreement will be $4,000.00 per year. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving the Agreement as per above and authorizing the Chairman of the Board to so execute. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk requested authorization to advertise for bids for Reusable Underpads for the Washington County Health Center for an indeterminate period for 1991-92. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, authorizing the Chief Clerk to advertise for bids as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a revised Fee Schedule of Greater Washington Radiologists relative to the Coroner's Office. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving the revised Fee Schedule as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the following travel requests: (0) 1. Gail Abercrombie of Human Services to attend a Children and (Reimbursable) Youth Sub -Committee Conference in State College, Pa., on June 20-21, 1991 (0) 2. District Justices Paul Pozonsky, Walter Mark, Jay Dutton, William Pelkey, Lawrence Celaschi, Henry Mavrich, Ronald Amati, June Lilley, James Ellis and Marjorie Teagarden to attend a Special Court Judges' Association Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, Pa., on June 19-22, 1991 (0) 3. SOLICITOR Chief Clerk announced that a Salary Board meeting would be held on Thursday, Solicitor Bassi presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the following tax refunds.
