PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS vanow, P* Minute No. 238 Washington County Commissioners Washington, PA, February 2, 1989 The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session in the Public Meeting Room, Courthouse Square, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Solicitor Bassi; Gary Gilman, Executive Assistant; Dave Suski, JTPA Director; Phil Garrow and Floyd Laubham, Planning Commission; Coroner Jackson; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Pete Skirchak, Herald Standard; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Victoria Bell, Weirton Daily Times; and Debbie D'Andrea, Greensburg Tribune Review. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately 10:10 a.m. and entertained a motion to approve Minute Nos. 236 and 237. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute Nos. 236 and 237 be approved as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS Chairman Mascara read a Proclamation declaring the week of February 5-11, 1989, as "Burn Awareness Week". Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, adopting the foregoing Proclamation. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. OLD BUSINESS Solicitor Bassi recommended that the bid for Law Enforcement Uniforms be awarded to Trapuzzano's Uniform of Washington, Pennsylvania, for the per unit costs submitted in their bid proposal. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, awarding the bid as per above; this being the only bid received in accordance with specifications. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Solicitor Bassi recommended that the bids for gasoline be awarded to the following vendors for the "per gallon" costs submitted in their bid proposals: Bidder 1. Solicitor Bassi recommended that the bids for the Nurses Call System at the Washington County Health Center continue to be tabled for review. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, to continue to table the bids as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Solicitor Bassi recommended that the bids for the Western Center Bridge Construction Project continue to be tabled for review. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, to continue to table the bids as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval an application for an allocation of County Liquid Fuel Tax Funds in the amount of $4,875.00 from the Borough of Charleroi for street repair purposes. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the application as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval an amendment to the agreement with Harmarville Rehabilitation Center, Inc., relative to the provision of physical, speech and occupational therapy and physical medicine services at the Washington County Health Center. The amendment provides for the services to be on as -needed basis as opposed to a minimal number of hours required. above. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the amendment as per Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. I 30- MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval an addendum to the agreement with MATCO/ROMCOR relative to archival recording and automated indexing services for the Recorder of Deeds Office. The Addendum provides for an extension of the agreement, effective February 4, 1989, and a 10% increase in the prices, effective April 1, 1989. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the Addendum as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a request to modify agreements with the following contractors relative to the JTPA Program. The purpose of these modifications is to allow for the addition of 101 participants. The funding of these positions shall come from Title IIA and IIA SEG.
