Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately 10:10 a.m. rand asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 63,; each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute No. 63 be ;approved as written. Roll call vote taken: e Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. ;Special Order of Business: Chairman Mascara read the following Proclamation: WHEREAS, the Washington High School Little Presidents have ' brought continued glory and honor to the City and County of Washington by winning the 1985 WPI'AL Basketball Championship z and finishing the season with a 25 - 1 record; and �i WHEREAS, the Washington High School Little Presidents have compiled a record fifty-two (52) consecutive victories over the past two seasons and have captured the enthusiasm of all Wash- ington County residents; and s WHEREAS, the Washington High School Little Presidents ad- §` vanced to the state finals for the second consecutive year, s carrying on the traditions of excellence which have been established! by athletes and teams from the County. E THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners congratulates and recognizes the coaches and members of the 1985 Washington High School Little Presidents Basketball Team for their continued success and winning trad- ition; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board awards a plaque extending congratulations to the school and certificates to the individual players and coaches of the 1985 WPIAL champion- ship team. PNB - $2,421.26 - close-out of Washington County Divorce Section checking account as per Court Order of Judge Gladden dated April 1, 1985 2. Commonwealth of Pa. - $ 2 344.32 - Da Care Program - Month y g of January, 1985 - Supplemental 3. Commonwealth of Pa. - $75,869.00 - Transportation Block Grant - 4th quarter payment 4. Commonwealth of Pa. - $15,017.68 - Section 406 Transportation Program - new/expanded service, payment for incurred capital/start- up costs 5. Commonwealth of Pa. - $51,525.00 - Child Welfare, Title XX Block Grant - 4th quarter payment E S Chief } Clerk informed the Board of a notice from the Administrative Office! of Pennsylvania Courts that the next course of instruction for prospective Dis- trict Justices will be conducted June 3 thru June 28, 1985. New Business: Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval 'the following two Change Orders to contracts in connection with the Washington County Health Center Rehabilitation Project: 1. Plumbing Construction Contractor - W. G. Tomko & Son, Inc. Change Order is for an extension of time only (7 calendar days); no increase or decrease in the contract price. f � 2. Roof Construction Contractor - L. W. Miller Roofing, Inc. r Change Order increases contract by $4,000. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the Change Ordes 4 as per above and authorizing the Chairman of the Board to so execute. In connection with the Washington -Greene MH/MR Program, Uftiet Uierk pre-, sented to the Board for their consideration and approval a Purchase of Service 'Agreement with Provident Enterprises, Inc., at a per diem rate of $75.25 for the period of March 18, 1985 to June 30, 1985. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving the foregoing Purchase of Service Agreement with Provident Enterprises, Inc. f Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving the request to re- new the Agreement with the Washington Hospital as per above. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval r !a proposal from Dugan & Milinovich, CPA's, of Washington, Pa,, to perform an audits z e ,,of the Washington -Greene Drug & Alcohol Program for the fiscal year ending June 3d, '1985. The fee for this audit will be $2,100 plus out-of-pocket expenses. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, accepting the foregoing ,proposal and authorizing the Chairman of the Board to so execute any and all documents relating thereto. Motion carried unanimously. r Chief Clerk informed the Board that Michelle Crosbie Harton of Washingtoni Pa., has been recommended for appointment to the Children & Youth Advisory Committee zfor a 2-year term, effective May 1, 1985. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval ,a Section 406 Application to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation which amends the County's original Section 406 Application which was submitted in March of 1984. It was noted that the original application was in the amount of $78,020.00 and this amended application is in the total amount of $138,778.30, re4 ,presenting an increase of $60,758.30. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing jSection 406 Application, as amended; authorizing the Chairman of the Board to so `execute; and authorizing its submission to the Pennsylvania Department of Trans- portation.
