No . 74 Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., June 27, 1985 The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session with they E following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso. ;Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Solicitor Bassi; Coroner Jackson; Lou! `Lignelli, Director of Administration; Jack Welty, Data Processing; Linda Hands, ;Clerk -Steno II; Joe Manning, WKEG; Natalie Moore, Herald -Standard; Joann Sarkett,y r Brownsville Telegraph; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Dr. Kevin Kearns, Assistant Professor, Carnegie-Mellon University; Dr. Jonathan Gif- ford, Assistant Professor, Carnegie-Mellon University and David Dalessandro, }Director of Development, School of Urban & Public Affairs; and Bernard Singer. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately 10:05 a.m. and Basked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 73, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute No. 73 be approved as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. 'Special Order of Business: Chairman Mascara recognized the representatives of Carnegie-Mellon University ,who were present at the meeting. Dr. Kevin Kearns made some brief remarks con- cerning CMU's research proposal submitted to the Commissioners for planning for the development of the County's Information Systems. Each of the Commissioners °also made some brief comments. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving an Agreement with Carnegie-Mellon University for the purpose of developing a strategic plan for the �County's Information Systems. The term of said Agreement to run from July 1, 198� ;through December 31, 1985, for a sum not to exceed $36,160.00. E Roll call vote taken: k Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. ;Old Business: Bids Solicitor Bassi recommended to the Board that the bids for the Housekeeping Supplies be awarded as follows: Washington Bar & Restaurant Supply Co. $ 9,119.50 West Penn Chemical Supply $ 658.90 A.G.F. Request for the Commissioners, Chief Clerk, Solicitor, and Directors of Administration, Planning, and Human Services to attend the PSACC Convention in Hershey, Pa., on August 4-7, 1985. 3. Request for Angela Alampi of the Washington County Health Center who attended a Dietary Food Show at Seven Springs, Pa., on June 4, 1985. 4. Request for Geraldine Barney of the Court Administrator's Office to attend an AOPC Special Courts Conference at Carlisle, Pa., on June 28, 1985. 5. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving the foregoing travel requests and authorizing the payment of all necessary expenses incident thereto.
