FENNSYLVANIA FRANK R MASCARA, METRO PETROSKY JR, EDWARD M PALUSO COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 77 Washington County Commissioners ; Washington, Pa,, August 1, 1985 S The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session with the; 'following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso. Al+ k 4 ;so being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Solicitor Bassi; Coroner Jackson; Admini_ strative Assistant Davis; Henry Fiumelli, Director of Human Services; Linda Handsj s ,Clerk -Steno II; Cliff Peters and Gary Stokum, representatives of the Soil Conser-? ,vation Service; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Natalie Moore, Herald -Standard. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order and asked if there were any I t ;corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 76, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, that Minute No. 76 be approved as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. :Special Order of Business: Chairman Mascara read the following Proclamation: WHEREAS, the conservation of the soil, water and other natural resources of Washington County, Pennsylvania, is of concern to P the Washington County Commissioners; and WHEREAS, the Soil Conservation Service has been established to conserve the County's and nation's resources; and WHEREAS, the Washington County Commissioners and the Washington County Conservation District have implemented a conservation pro- gram in coopere,-ti;on with the Soil Conservation Service to protect the resources in the Commonwealth and Washington County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Washington County Commissioners proclaim the week of August 5 through 9, 1985, as SOIL CONSERVATION WEEK and urge all citizens to give recognition to the people involved in the Soil Conservation Service and parti- cipate in their events and activities to commemorate the 50th Anni- versary of the Service. Commonwealth of Pa. - $91,859.00 - Human Services Development Fund - lst quarter payment 4 New Business: Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a re- quest to continue the group life insurance with Transamerica Occidental through f the Morris Insurance Agency of Washington, Pa,, on a month -to -month basis, effective August 1, 1985, at the same rate of 38 cents per thousand. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, to continue the group life r `insurance with Transamerica Occidental on a month -to -month basis as per above. Roll call vote taken: x Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. ! 4 Motion carried unanimously, Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a re� quest to extend the current Lease Agreement with Jetcraft, Inc., relative to the Washington County Airport on a month -to -month basis, effective August 1, 1985, uni- til May 31, 1986. I Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving the extension to th� ;current Lease Agreement with Jetcraft, Inc., as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval in- �voices from McMahon, Kenneth, Baily, and Associates, Inc., totaling $14,973.50 fo renewal of the Comprehensive General Liability ($9,460.50) and the Catastrophe Loss Fund ($5,513.00) for the Washington County Health Center for the period of May 12, 1985 to May 12, 1986. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the payment of the foregoing invoices. Roney, Assistant District Attorney, to attend the Allegheny Prosecutor's Seminar in Pittsburgh, Pa., on October 4-5, 1985.
