Al- so being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore, Attorney George Retos of the Solicitor'$ Office; Coroner Jackson; Barb Davis, Administrative Assistant; Judi Lomago, Exe- s cutive Secretary; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Natalie Eddy, Herald -Standard; Jim; Jefferson, WJPA; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; and Scott Langenfeld, WKEG. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 77, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute No. 77 be approved as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes, Motion carried unanimously. Old Business: (Solicitor) Attorney Retos informed the Board that the Chief Assessor, C. Wayne Fleming, has reviewed the bids for the Special Tax Notices and has recommended that the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder, Arnold Corporation of Uniontown, Pa., for the total amount of $2,325.00 ($15.50 per thousand for 150,000). Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, awarding the bid for the Special Tax Notices to Arnold Corporation of Uniontown, Pa., as per above; this being the lowest responsible bid received in accordance with the specifications. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. ; Attorney Retos recommended that the bids for the 1986 Washington County Tax Notices continue to be tabled for further review as per above. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, that the bids for the 1986 Tax Notices be tabled for further review. Roll call vote taken: G Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Correspondence: Chief Clerk informed the Board of the receipt of the following checks: 1. Commonwealth of Pa. - $20,808.00 - Transportation Block Grant - Supplemental payment 2. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. ment with Susan O'Ferrell. Roll call vote taken: effective August 12, 1985, on a Paluso, approving the foregoing Agreq- I I Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the; ;following travel requests: 4 1. Request for Charles Loughman of the Jail to attend a basic training program at Camp Hill, Pa., on September 9-27, 1985. 2. Request for Richard Brady of Domestic Relations to attend a DRAP Board of Directors meeting in Harrisburg, Pa., on September 12-13, 1985. 3. Request for Kathy Miller of the Washington County Health Center who attended an IBM Seminar in Pittsburgh, Pa., on July 17, 1985. 4. Request for Felicia Filipponi and Cindy McQuaid of Adult Probation to attend a training session sponsored by the Pa. Parole Board and DCA in Harrisburg, Pa., on August 18-23, 1985. 5. Request for C. Wayne Fleming and Josephine Haines of the Tax Assessment Office to attend the Fall Conference of the Assessors Association of Pennsylvania at State College, I Pa., on September 11-13, 1985. 6. Request for Sheriff Fazzoni, Chief Deputy Littleton and g Deputy Johns to attend the conference of the Deputy Sheriff's Association of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, Pa., on q September 26-29, 1985. a 7. Request for the Commissioners, Executive Assistant DuJordan and William Sember, Director of Planning, to attend the F annual SPRPC Workshop at Hidden Valley on September 26-28, 1985. g 8. Request for Chairman Mascara to attend the convention of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers ' in Lancaster, Pa., on August 25-29, 1985. 1 Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing trawl zrequests and authorizing the payment of all necessary expenses incident thereto. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. E ;NOTE: This motion is deemed necessary because of the position taken by the Count Controller and is pending resolution of the Court case involving travel re4 quests. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, authorizing the Chief Clerk ,to advertise for the solicitation of proposals as pekiabove. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. No. 077-48-4546 Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, that the Tax Assessment Office be authorized to prepare the following tax refund due to either duplication or overpayment of real estate or personal property tax.
