PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS ;Minute No. 116 Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., May 15, 1986 The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session with 'the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Attorney Kathy Emery, Solicitor's a lOffice; Lou Lignelli, Director of Adminsitration; Kevin Humble, Budget Director; Roland Bourke, Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority; Linda Hands, !Clerk -Steno II; Barbara Davis, Administrative Assistant; Judi Lomaqo, Executive ',Secretary; Rod Kornrumpf and Mike Turley, Planning Commission; Natalie Eddy, E Herald -Standard; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Scott Lanqenfeld, WKEG; Phil 'Garrow, Brownsville Telegraph; representatives and members of the McGuffey Winter =,Color Guard and Bryan Hammond, All -American Soccer player from Trinity High School Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 115, each member having receive. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, adopting the foregoing ! ;Proclamation. The Commissioners then presented the Proclamation to Charles Mahoney, schoO ;principal, and certificates to the team members and support staff. `s Commissioner Petrosky read a Proclamation recognizing Bryan Hammond, a former Trinity High School Soccer player who was named to the All American team. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, adopting the foregoing Proclamation. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. The Dial Corporation - $693.34 - Reimbursement for services and supplies utilized during sulforic acid spill on 2-18-86 Roland Bourke of the Redevelopment Authority presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a Resolution authorizing an Agreement with :Quasitronics, Inc., to extend for a one-year period their Option Agreement to purchase 2.289 acres of land in the Washington County Industrial Park located in North Strabane Township. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing E ' Resolution. The Addendum provides for, an increased a) location; of_ funds fort the Public Assistance Transportation Block Grant from $275,000 to $295,598. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving the Addendum to the Agreement with Comsis Corporation as per above. Motion carried unanimously. f Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a request to adopt a revision to the SPRPC Articles of Agreement which adds a b new Article XI allowing SPRPC to operate as a regional advocate under the 1972 Intergovernmental Cooperation Act. Beck as Court Reporter to the Divorce Section of the Court of Common Pleas for a period of one year, effective June 1, 1986. Request for John Pankopf and Rebecca Madvay of Adult Probation to attend a training session sponsored by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole in Pittsburgh (North Park), Pa., on May 22-23, 1986. 2. Request for Kenneth Baker of the District Attorney's Office to attend the FBI National Academy Seminar in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 6-9, 1986. 3. Request for Marcia Wilson of Children & Youth to attend a conference on Black Adoption in Pittsburgh, Pa., on May 16, 1986. 4. Request for Deborah DeStefano of Aging Services to attend a workshop sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging in Grantville, Pa., on May 21-22, 1986. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing E travel requests and authorizing the payment of all necessary expenses incident thereto. Solicitor: Attorney Kathy Emery of the Solicitor's Office recommended the Board's approval to appoint Attorney Thomas Hagg of Wheeling, West Virginia, to file a 1, judgment note and perfect the County's lien against property located in Valley Grove, West Virginia, owned by Margaret Ann Crane, a resident of the Washington County Health Center, at the rate of $75.00 per hour. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving the appointment of Attorney Thomas Hagg as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes.
