Absent P k tbeing: Commissioner Petrosky who is ill. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute Nos. 127 and 128, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, that Minute Nos. 127 and 128 be approved as written. e i Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. t Motion carried unanimously. !Special Order of Business: The Commissioners recognized a group of Croations who were touring the United States. Commissioner Mascara read a Proclamation designating September 13-14, 19861, I 3 ,as "Washington County Airfare '86" days. { Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, adopting the foregoing lProclamation. Roll call vote taken: i Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. r Motion carried unanimously. 4 The Commissioners presented the Proclamation to Gregory Pilarski of the Washington Rotary. Carroll Township Street Improvements Project Chief Clerk noted for the record the resignation of Attorney Bradley M. ; ;Bassi as an Assistant District Attorney, effective August 1, 1986. ;New Business: G Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a n7ater Obstruction and Encroachment Permit to be submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources relative to the King's Creek Bridge No. 5 p.roiect. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, approving the foregoing permit I and authorizing the Chairman of the Board to so execute. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a proposal for testing services from Ackenheil Testing, Inc., of Pittsburgh, Pa., relative to the Washington County Airport FAA Project No. 3-42-0101-06-86. The total cost for these services is $3,799.00 plus mileage, lodging and meals. 9' I Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, accepting the foregoing I proposal. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval Provider Agreements with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging, Inc. relative to the Washington County Health Center and Aging Services for FY86/87. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, approving the Provider Agree- ments as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. S Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a ,revised FY86/87 Human Services Development Fund Plan to be submitted to the a V .Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in the amount of $509,282. The original t plan submitted was in the amount of $527,898; and it is necessary to submit a re-1 r ;wised plan due to changes in the State's allocation. Moved by Mr_. Request for Wayne Fleming and Josephine Haines of Tax Assement Office of attend the Assessors Association of Pennsylvania Conference at Carlisle, Pa., on September 10-12, 1986. 5. Request for Captain Fred Johns of the Sheriff's Office to attend the Annual Deputy Sheriff's Association Con- ference in Beaver Falls, Pa., on September 12-13, 1986. 6. Request for R. Madvay, B. Morgan, C. Meny and D. Walters of Adult Probation to attend a training session sponsored by the Pennsylvania Board of Pro- bation and Parole in Pittsburgh, Pa., (North Park), Pa., on September 10-12, 1986. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, approving the foregoing travel requests and authorizing the payment of all necessary expenses incident thereto. Releases relative to six dilapidated houses located in the Borough of Bentleyvilli J ich the Borough has offered to demolish. Price per thousand for pages furnished $1,495.55 Approximately 4,000 absentee ballot booklets. Price per thousand furnished $ 698.00 Approximately 22,000 official specimen ballot pages reduced for election districts to be printed on a single sheet by precinct. Price per thousand for ballot pages furnished $ 298.65 Two specimen ballots reduced on a single sheet by precinct (172 x 22 max. size) for each party or political body for each election district in which candidates of such party or political body are to be voted for. Approximately 1,000 ballots. Total for all parties $ 324.90 7 single sets for each party of specimen ballot pages reduced on single sheet by precinct. Price per _ sets for each party furnished $ 370.00 For printing, binding and delivering any re -run of ballot pages of any election district because of an error on the part of any county employee.
