PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS 1 I] Minute No. 137 Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., November 6, 1986 The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session in th Public Meeting Room, Courthouse Square, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the folloo- ing members being present: Commissioners Mascara and Paluso. Absent being: Commissioner Petrosky who has been ill. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dalla- tore; Solicitor Bassi; Coroner Jackson; David Smith, Emergency Services; Linda Young, Clerk -Steno II; Administrative Assistant Davis; Judi Lomago, Executive Secretary; Julie LaCaffinie, Brownsville Telegraph; Natalie Eddy, Herald -Standard; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; and Scott Langenfeld, WKEG. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately 10:10 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 134, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, that Minute No. 136 be approved as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. New Business: Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval an Agreement with Washington Portable Medical Services, Inc., for the provision of mobile X-ray, EKG, holter monitor and other related diagnostic services at thf Washington County Health Center. The term of the agreement is for a period of one year, effective November 15, 1986, with no cost to the County. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, approving the foregoing Agreement. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval an Agreement with Aviation Publications of Hiller, Pa., relative to the establis4- ment of a Supplementary Aviation Weather Reporting Station (SAWRS) at the Washinc ton County Airport, teaching all necessary instructions as required by the National Weather Service for certification of observers and for sight surveying and preparation of observers chart. Fees for these services will be $350.00. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, approving the foregoing Agreement. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. MINUTE BOCK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA FRANK R. MASCARA, METRO PETROSKY, JR, EDWARD M PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval ithefollowing travel requests: 1. Mike Turley of the Planning Commission to attend "The First Monongahela River Valley Summit Conference" in Morgantown, WVA, on November 11-12, 1986 2. Bruce Morgan and Felicia Filipponi of Adult Probation to attend training sessions sponsored by the Pa. Board of Probation and Parole in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Nov. 17-20, 1986; 3. David Suski of JTPA to attend a Pa. State Job Training i Coordinating Council meeting in Grantville, Pa., on November 19, 1986; and a Service Delivery Area Directors meeting in Harrisburg, Pa., on November 20, 1986 i 4. Lou Lignelli, David Suski and two JTPA staff members to attend the NACo Partnership in Progress Conference in E Broward County, Florida, On December 14-17, 1986 Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, approving the foregoing E ;travel requests and authorizing the payment of all necessary expenses incident € 'thereto. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk requested authorization to advertise for bids for linen supplies at the Washington County Health Center. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Mascara, authorizing the Chief Clerk to advertise for bids as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Announcements: Chief Clerk announced that the Commissioners' Meeting scheduled for i Thursday, November 13th, has been changed to Wednesday, November 12th, at 10:00 M. Solicitor: Solicitor Bassi advised the Board of a recent Opinion and Order issued by Commonwealth Court Senior Judge Jacob Kalish which affirmed Judge Terputac's Opinion and Order dated August 13, 1985, relative to the pharmacist matter (Solloin) lat the Washington County Health Center. (No. 221 February Term, 1985; No. 2313 C.D. 1985) 10:20 a.m. - Meeting recessed. J(During the recess, the Commissioners spoke to students from the 9th Grade Civic i Class of Ringgold High School.) 10:35 a.m. - Meeting reconvened for the purpose of opening bids. Main Street Monongahela, PA 15063 Total Amount of Base Bid: $195.900.00 Unit Price for One Cubic Yard of Concrete Installed Complete in the tunnel of the Jail: $200.00 A bid bond in the amount of 1090' accompanied the bid.
