Minute No. 185
Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., October 20, 1983
The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session with
the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Gilmore and Paluso.
Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Attorney George Retos of the Solicit-
or's Office; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Jon Stevens, Observer Reporter; Joann
Sarkett, Brownsville Telegraph; Scott Myers, WKEG; Jim Provance, Herald -Standard;
Richard Glance, County Architect; and Lucy Rea, interested citizen.
Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately 10:00 a.m.
and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 184
each member having received a copy.
Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute No. 184 be
approved as read.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Pailuso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.

New Business:
Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval
a proposal from Thomas Risbin of Marianna, Pennsylvania, in the amount of
$2,973.00 for the purpose of delivering ballot boxes with election supplies and
voting devices to the Judges of Elections for the November 8th General Election.
Chief Clerk noted that Mr. Risbin's proposal was the lowest of two proposals re-
ceived.
Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, accepting the foregoing pro-
posal submitted by Thomas Risbin.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a
request from David D. Daniels, Director of the Emergency Management Agency, to
attend a meeting of the Keystone EMA Association in Harrisburg on October 19, 19g3.

(quest and authorizing the payment of all necessary expenses incident thereto.

Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval an
Agreement for Termination of Services in connection with the agreement with Pete
IDorchak as Posting Agent for the Tax Claim Bureau.
Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the Agreement for
Termination of Services as per above.

Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the
following Supplemental Budget Appropriation Requests:
1. Request from the Courts for a Supplemental Appropriation
of $25,000.00 to be transferred from Acct. #1499 (Unappro-
priated Balances) to Acct. #160.
2. Request for a Supplemental Appropriation of $526.00 to
be transferred from Acct. #1499 (Unappropriated Balances)
to Acct. 4612.2.10 (Payments to Fire Companies)
Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing
Supplemental Budget Appropriation requests.

approval an Agreement with the Underwater Search and Rescue of Washington County,
Inc., in connection with the Coroner's Office whereby the County will pay the

Underwater Search and Rescue organization $500.00/for the remaining two quarters
of 1983 as a retainer for a search and recovery scuba team. Some discussion
followed.
Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing agree-
ment with the Underwater Search and Rescue of Washington County, Inc.
