PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 111 Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., April 8, 1982 The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Gilmore and Paluso. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore, Solicitor Bassi, Budget Director Gillespie, Administrative Assistant Davis, Linda Hands, Clerk - Steno II; Coroner Jackson; Lou Lignelli, Acting Director of Property & Supplies; Helen Miller of The League of Women Voters; Linda Miller of WESA; Barbara Senich of The Observer -Reporter; Jim Jefferson of WJPA; and Bob Sabot of WKEG. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately 10:00 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 110, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, that Minute No. 110 be approved as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. 101d Business: Bids Solicitor Bassi stated that the bi s for the duplicating supplies had been reviewed by the Property & Supplies Department and recommended that the bid be awarded to A. B. Dick Company for the amount of $4,020.00. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the bid for the furnishing and deliver- ing of duplicating supplies for the Property & Supplies Department be awarded to A. B. DICK COM- PANY of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the amount set forth in their bid; this being the lowest bi received in accordance with specifications. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Correspondence: Chief Clerk informed the Board of the receipt of the following checks: 1. U.S. Treasury - $70,000.00 - Employment & Training Program 2. Commonwealth of Pa. - $11,465.14 - Day Care Program Month of February, 1982 3. Commonwealth of Pa. - $693.80 - Medical Assistance Chief Clerk made available to the news media copies of News Releases in reference to the following projects: 1. Second Street Redevelopment Area in California Borough 2. Liberty Tower Additional Parking Improvement Project 3. Canonsburg Recreation Improvement Project Chief Clerk requested authorization to advertise for bids for One Washer/Extractor and One Gas Heated Laundry Dryer for the Washington County Health Center and also for furniture for the Domestic Relations Office and the Judges' Chambers. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, authorizing the Chief Clerk to advertise for bids as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the following Supplemental Budget Appropriation Requests: 1. Request from the Controller's Office for a Supplemental Appropriation in the amount of $8,000 (Line #0103-428-01) for Computer Programming for In -House Payroll, 2. Request from the Sheriff's Office for the transfer of $1,200.00 to the newly created Account No. 0503-475-00 (Treadlok Security Chests) from Account No. 0503-441-00 (Education Expenses). 3. Request from Adult Welfare for the transfer of $15,000.00 in the following line items: TO: 0402-410-00 $ 5,211,00 0402-430-00 $ 4,500.00 0402-422-00 $ 2,000.00 0402-463-00 $ 3,289.00 Total $15,000.00 FROM: 0402-424-00 (11,000.00) 0402-428-01 ( 3,000.00) 0402-441-00 1,000.00) Total (15,000.00) 4. Request from Other Court Related Activities for the transfer of $1,460.00 to Account No. 0808-447-03 (Miscellaneous Expenses) from Account No. 0808-447-02 (Defendants' Attorneys Fund). Chief Clerk announced that the Salary Board Meeting scheduled for today has been reschedu led for next Thursday, April 15th. Solicitor: Solicitor Bassi presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the following tax refunds.
