PALLISO, COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 121 Washington County Commissioners Washington, PA, June 17, 1982 The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members being present: Commissioners Paluso, Gilmore and Mascara. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore, Administrative Assistant Davis; Solicitor Bassi; Lou Lignelli, Acting Director of Property & Supplies; Farrell Jackson, Coroner; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Linda Miller, Tribune - Review; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Bob Sabot, WKEG; Barbara Senich, Observer -Reporter and Joann Sarkett, Brownsville Telegraph. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately 10:00 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 120, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute No. 120 b approved as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Correspondence: Chief Clerk informed the Board of the receipt of the following check 1. Commonwealth of Pa. - $5,251.40 - Medical Assistance Payment 2. U.S. Treasury - $32,500.00 - Employment & Training Program 3. Commonwealth of Pa. - _22,962.00 - Child Support Program Title IV-D - Month of April Chief Clerk made available to the news media copiesof a News Release in reference to the following project: New Business: 1. Morris Township Recreation Project - Phase II Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval an Amendment to the Agreement with the Department of Public Welfare (Contract No. 57311893)which adjusts the number of clients from 11 to 9 pursuant to the Marcy Closure Plan. Chief Clerk noted that this has been reviewed by the MH/MR Administrator and the Human Services Director. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoin Amendment to Contract No. 57311893 with the Department of Public Welfare. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. s: 32 MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY. PENNSYLVANIA FRANK R. PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS Regarding the WCETA Program, Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a Contract with Washington Institute of Techno- logy to add 8 additional training slots to the Washington Institute of Technolog contract in the field of Electronics Training. Sufficient funds are available in the budget to accomplish this without increasing the amount of the contract. This addition will change the total number of training slots from 38 to 46. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the Contract with Washington Institute of Technology as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board the following Supplemental Budget Appropriation requests for their consideration and approval: 1. Request from the Courts - Other Related Costs - for the trans- fer of $2,000 to Account No. 0808-447-03 (Miscellaneous Ex- penses) from Account No. 0808-446-05 (Juror's Luncheons) 2. Request from the County Airport for the transfer of $864.00 from Account No. 1701-403-00 to Account No. 1701-454-00 to purchase supplies for the summer help at the Airport Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoin Supplemental Budget Appropriation requests. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk announced to all those present that there will be a Salary Board Meeting at 4:00 p.m. today and on June 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the Public Meeting Room. A1so,Chief Clerk announced that the Commissioners' Meeting for next week (June 24th) has been changed to 10:30 a.m. instead of 10:00 a.m. Solicitor: Solicitor Bassi presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the following tax refund. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the Tax Assessmen Office be authorized to prepare the following tax refund due to either duplicati or overpayment of real estate or personal property tax: 1. John Petronka 60 Franklin Farms Road Washington, PA 15301 District: Washington 7th Ward District No: 770 - Section No: Total amount: $18.75 Roll call vote taken: (1982 County Tax) 045-03 - Parcel No: 0003-00 Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that RESOLUTION NO. 44, for property situate in California Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania, sold on September 14, 1981, Tax Claim Bureau Sale, being described as a 2 Sty Fr Hse, Lot 1, DB 1730-98, siutate in California Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania and formerly assessed in the name of Angela D'Antonio Estate, be approved and tha the sum of $250.00 be accepted from THOMAS R, ALBERTSON, Washington County Tax Claim Bureau receiving the consent of the taxing districts involved: California Area School District - 4-19-82 and California Borough - 4-20-82. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that RESOLUTION NO 45, for property situate in Carroll Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, sold on April 3, 1944, Tax Claim Bureau Sale, being described as Lot 87, Eldora 3, situate in Carroll Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania and formerly assess ed in the name of Deighton Calvery, be approved and that the sum of $100.00 be accepted from DAVID D. & CAROL A. FLEMING, Washington County Tax Claim Bureau receiving the consent of the taxing districts involved: Ringgold School District 5-25-82 and Carroll Township - 4-12-82.
