PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 123 Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 1, 1982 The Board of Washington County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members being present: Commi'sstoners Gilmore and Paluso. Absent being: Commissioner Mascara who was out of town on County business. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore, Solicitor Bassi, Coroner Farrell Jackson, Administrative Assistant Davis; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Helen Miller of The League of Women Voters; Bob Sabot, WKEG; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Bob Robertson, Observer -Reporter; and Lucy Rea, interested citizen, Vice -Chairman Gilmore called the meeting to order at approximately 10:00 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 122, each member having re- ived a copy. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, that Minute No. 122 be approved as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Motion carried unanimously. Correspondence: Chief Clerk informed the Board of the receipt of the following checks: I. Commonwealth of Pa. - $10,295.49 - Medical Assistance Reimbursement 2, Commonwealth of Pa. - $6,481.68 - balance due on 1980 Public Utility Realty Tax Report 3. Commonwealth of Pa. - $63,348.02 - Children and Youth Program Settlement sheet prepared in accordance with audit report for period of 1-1-80 to 6-30-81 4. U.S. Treasury - $51,500.00 - Employment & Training Program Chief Clerk made available to the news media copies of News Releases in reference to the fol1owing: 1, Completion of the substantial rehabilitation of Stanton and Ashley Halls Elderly and Handicapped Housing facilities in California, Pennsylvania 2. The County publication entitled "Washington County...a Two Hundred Year Reflection", published by the Washington County Planning Commission, was awarded first place in the special publications category from the National Association of Counties Information Officers; the award will be presented to the County at the NACo Conference in Baltimore during July 12-13. (Commissioner Gilmore made a few remarks concerning this award.) w Business: Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a request from Property and Supplies Department to continue on a month -to -month lease with Barrett G. Greelee or Magistrate's Office space in Bentleyville. Chief Clerk explained that this lease will continu n a month -to -month basi's at the same rate until Mr. Greenlee has an opportunity to review the 5 of the building and submit a proposal for a five-year renewal lease. 42 MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA FRANK R. Greenlee as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes, Motion carried unanimously. I Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval an Agreement with �Shipman's Sanitary Service of Prosperity, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of supplying one (1) portable restroom facility at Mingo Creek County Park at the rate of $50.00 per month, effective immediately. Chief Clerk noted that this agreement has been reviewed by the Parks Director and Solicitor Bassi. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, approving the foregoing agreement with Shipman's Sanitary Service. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the following Supplemental Budget Appropriation Requests: 1. Request from the Treasurer's Office for the transfer of $3,000.00 from Line Item No. 0107-405-00 to Line Item No. 0107-406-00 for per diem employees to complete tax posting. 2. Request from the Treasurer's Office for the transfer of $50.00 to Line Item No. 01-07-453-00 from Line Item No. 01-07-423-00 for minor maintenance and repair, 3. Request from the Coroner's Office for the transfer of $400.00 from Account No. 506-453 to Account No. 506-451 for equipment and supplies 3 for a new Royal Memory Typewriter. r 4. Request from the Maintenance of County Buildings Department for a supplemental appropriation of $1,320.00 to Account No. 0127-429-00 (Contracted Maintenance and Repairs) for insurance proceeds received to repair the stone piers at the County Jail. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, approving the foregoing Supplemental Budget Appropriation Requests. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. MINUTE BOOK 143 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY. PENNSYLVANIA FRANK R. MASCARA, DAVID L. GILMORE. EDWARD M. PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS Roland Bourke, Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority, presented to the Board for their consideration and approval a Resolution accepting the provisions of a Grant Agreement authorized by the Department of Housing and Urban Development under the Community Development Block Grant Program pursuant to Title T of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. Mr. Bourke briefly outlined the project. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, adopting the foregoing Resolution as pre- sented by Mr. Bourke and authorizing the Chairman of the Board to execute the Grant Agreement. Roll call vote taken; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr, Gilmore - Yes, Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk announced that the first bi-weekly Salary Board meeting will commence immedi- ately following this meeting. Chief Clerk also announced that the County offices will be closed on Monday, July 5th, in observance of the 4th of July holiday.
