COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 6 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., February 14, 1980 The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members being present: Commissioners Paluso, Gilmore and Mascara. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Administrative Assistant Davis; Budget Director Gillespie; Solicitor DiSalle; Attorney William Porter; Coroner Jackson; Roland Bourke, Redevelopment Authority; Mrs. Miller, League of Women Voters; John Drake, Senior Citizens; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Bob Sabot, WKEG; Becky Andrews, Daily Herald. Chairman called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 5, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute No. 5, be approved as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Special Order of Business: Roland Bourke, Executive Director, Redevelopment Authority, presented a Resolution approving a proposal for Redevelopment of Disposition Parcel No. 1 in the Canonsburg Pike Street Redevelopment Project by Nicholas H. Fisfis and Helen K. Fisfis, his wife, of Canonsburg, Pa. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing Resolution. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Correspondence: Chief Clerk informed the Board of the receipt of the following checks: 1. U. S. Treasury - Manpower Planning Program - $207,700.00 2. Commonwealth of Pa. - Indochinese Refugees for third quarter of 1979 - $3,755.85 New Business: Chief Clerk informed the Board of the recommended appointment of Earl Bugaile to the Board of Directors 66 the Bradford House Historical Association. 0 MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Frank ,,R&.cAaiScara, DAVID L. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented a Supplemental Agreement with Paul Planert Design Associates, Inc., for additional services for inventory of our existing furniture and equipment for an estimated cost not to exceed $6,800.00 for the following departments: Domestic Relations, Coroner's Office, Adult Probation, Public,--Di6fender, Parks and Recreation. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing Supplemental Agreement. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented an Extension of Lease with Christman Trucking Corporation for Tract II at the Washington County Airport (comprising of 12,000 square feet upon which is erected an airplane hangar, together with the hangar apronsl until September 10, 2010. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing Extension of Lease with Christman Trucking Corporation. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Regarding CETA, the Chief Clerk presented a Special Projects Modification to a contract with the Borough of Donora which increases the funds previously obligated by $2,988.64. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing Special Projects Modification. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Regarding Children & Youth Social Services, the Chief Clerk presented eight #8) Purchase of Service Agreements with the following organizations: Care for Youth, Inc. Wiley House Try -Again Home, Inc. GILMORE, EDWARD M. PALUSO, COMMfSSIONERS Mrs. Dallatore added that these agreements have been reviewed by Mr. Gillespie, the Budget Director. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing Purchase of Service Agreements. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk announced that the Courthouse will be closed on Monday, February 18, 1980, in observance of President's Day. Regarding Harmon Creek Site 481, the Chief Clerk informed the Board that Joseph Giecek, Administratite Assistant, has requested authorization to make settlement with Goodwill Hill Sportsmen's Club in the amount of $5,000. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, authorizing the fore -- going settlement. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chairman recommended the appointment of Henry R. Fiumelli as Human Services Director for Washington County. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, approving the appointment of Henry R. Fiumelli as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously.
