PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS kow ftififift milm-;�._ Minute No. 31 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., August 7, 1980 The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members being present: Commissioners Paluso, Gilmore and Mascara. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore, Administrative Assistant Davis; Solicitor DiSalle; Budget Director Gillespie; Betty Gallo, Secretary; Barbara Gibbs, EEO Officer; Coroner Jackson; John Drake, Senior Citizens; Leonard Fink, S. Frizzie, John R. Graham, Charles L. Weaver, Washington County Firemen; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Becky Andrews, Daily Herald; Bob Sabot, WKEG; Jim Jefferson, WJPA. Chairman called the meeting to order at 10:10 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 30, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving Minute No. 30, as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Old Business: Regarding the bids received for the sale of the Women's Home, the Chairman recommended that all bids be rejected. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, rejecting the bids received for the sale of the Women's Home. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Regarding the bids received for the Tax Duplicate Page Forms for the Tax Assessment Office, Solicitor DiSalle stated that he had reviewed the bids in concurrence with Ken Barna of the Tax Assessment Office, and that they both recommend the bid be awarded to Arnold Graphic Industries, who was the lowest bidder. They also recommend that the bid for the 1981 Tax Notices be awarded to Henry Badzik, who was the lowest bidder. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, awarding the contract for furnishing and delivering of Tax Duplicate Page Forms for the Washington County Tax Assessment Office to ARNOLD GRAPHIC INDUSTRIES, INC., P.O. Box 822, Uniontown, Pa.; and for furnishing and delivering of 1981 Tax Notices to BADZIK PRINTING SERVICES, INC., 401 Thompson Avenue, Donora, Pa., for the amounts set forth in their bids; these being the lowest and most responsible bids received in accordance with specifications. Correspondence: Chief Clerk informed the Board of the receipt of the following check: 1. Commonwealth of Pa. - Day Care Contract #9630 Month of Aug. (estimated) - $28,940.94 New Business: For participation in the 1981 Grant -in -Aid program, the Chief Clerk presented an Application to the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission and an Application to the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the foregoing Applications. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk presented a proposal from the Industrial Appraisal Company of Pittsburgh, Pa. for appraisal of the following County properties at a cost of $9,930.00. 1. Court House 2. County Office Building 3. Juvenile Detention Center 4. County Jail 5. Airport 6. Bridge Department 7. County Parks a. Mingo b. Cross Creek c. Ten Mile 8. County Maintenance Building (at Mingo Park) 9. Arden Fair Grounds Chief Clerk noted that there would be an additional cost of $500.00 for the first year's re-evaluation and maintenance service. proposal.
