COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 41 Office of County Commissioners Washington, PA., October 23, 1980 The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members being present: Commissioners Paluso, Gilmore and Mascara. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore, Solicitor DiSalle, Administrative Assistant Davis;'Roland Bourke and Bob Umstead, Redevelopement Authority; Joseph J. Bendel, Vice -President of Mullin & Lonegan (Planning Consultants); Linda Hands, Secretary; Kim Kleinle, Daily Herald; Bob Robertson, Observer - Reporter; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Bob Sabot, WKEG; Helen Miller, League of Women Voters. Chairman called the meeting to order and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 40, each member having re- ceived a copy. as read. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving Minute No. 40 Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mx. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Special Order of Business: Roland Bourke, Executive Director of Redevelopement Authority, pre- sented to the Board an Urban Development Action Grant Application for the Arden Downs Industrial Redevelopment Area and the Redevelopment pr000g€1"-and the Redeveloper's Contract for the Arden Downs Industrial Redevelopment area. Mr. Bourke explained to all those present the details of the UDAG Application and the Redevelopment proposal. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, Approving the Urban Development Action Grant Application and authorizing the submission of said application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Resolu- tion approving the Redevelopment proposal and the Redeveloper's Contract for the Arden Downs Industrial Redevelopment area as per above. Roll -call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Correspondence: Chief Clerk informed the Board of the receipt of the following check: 1. U. PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS Release: Chief Clerk informed all those present of the following News Marianna Storm Drain Project in the Borough of Marianna - A Construction Contract for $10,626.72 will be awarded,on Oct. 23, 1980 to Laurel Excavating and Demolition of Uniontown, PA. The project will provide storm drainage improvements to Beeson Avenue, First Street and Ash Street in Marianna Borough. Work is scheduled to begin within two weeks and is expected to be completed by mid -November. New Business: Chief Clerk presented to the Board a renewal of an Agreement with Arlene Chodock Adelman, Licensed Physical Therapist for the Washington County Health Center who would perform said services 6 hours a week at the rate of $15.00 per hour. This is an increase from 5 hours a week at $11.00 per hour. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, -seconded by Mr, Paluso, approving the foregoing Agreement with Arlene Chodock Adelman. (To be effective November 22, 1980). Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk informed the Board that the following individuals have been recommended for appointment to the Recount Board for the November General Election: Anne Schellinger - McMurray Emily Stotka - Brownsville Thelma Crunick - Washington Catherine Perecko - Monongahela Robert Deckert - Venetia Grace Rutz - Monongahela Louise Elliott - Amwell Township Susan Snodgrass - Monongahela Margaret Casper - Westland Alternates Lil Burns - Houston Bernice Oates - Monongahela Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the appointment of the Recount Board for the November General Election as per above. Solicitor: Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Solicitor DiSalle presented the following Tax Refunds to the Board for their consideration and approval.
