PALUSO. COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 83 s Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., September 3, 1981 The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members being !present: Commissioners Mascara, Gilmore and Paluso. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore, Solicitor Bassi, Administrative Assistant Davis, Budget Director Gillespie; Lou Lignelli, Acting Director of Property and Supplies; Coroner Jackson; Linda Hands, Secretary; Linda Miller of WESA; Fran Powers of The Brownsville Telegraph; Bob Sabot of WKEG; Jim Jefferson of WJPA; Dave Budinger of The Observer -Reporter; and Lucy Rea of The Girl Scouts, Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 82, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute No. 82 be approved as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Old Business: Bid - Public Address and Audio Recording System for four Courtrooms Solicitor Bassi stated that the bid for the Public Address and Audio Recording System for four courtrooms had been reviewed by Mr. Lignelli and recommended that the bid be awarded to I Daltco, Inc., the only bidder. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the bid for the Public Address and Audio Recording System for four courtrooms be awarded to DALTCO, INC., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the amount set forth in their bid; this being the only bid received in accordance with the specifications. k Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Correspondence: Chief Clerk informed the Board of the receipt of the following checks: 1. Commonwealth of Pa. - $2,187.46 - Medical Assistance Payment to WCHC 2. Commonwealth of Pa. - $152,547.03 - Foster Home and Institutional Care Payment for period of 10-1-80 to 12-31-80 New Business: Chief Clerk presented to the Board a request from C. Wayne Fleming, Chief Assessor, that because of the number of "Revised Tax Bills" that have been mailed to taxpayers within the last 60 days, the imposing of the standard penalty of 10% September 1, 1981, will create a hardship for these property owners; therefore, those taxpayers who have received "Revised Tax Bills" should be exonerated from the 10% penalty until October 1, 1981, thereby allowing the County Treasurer to accept the taxable amount at "Face" as payment in full. u Z/gO MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA FRANK R. COMMISSIONERS Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso, exonerating those taxpayers who have re- ceived "Revised Tax Bills" (within the last 60 days) the 10% penalty until October 1, 1981, as per above. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. wMotion carried unanimously. Chief Clerk announced that the County Offices would be closed on Monday, September 7, 19F1, in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. Solicitor Bassi reminded the Board of the Sale of Properties for Lien Taxes by the Tax Claim Bureau scheduled for September 14, 1981.
