BEVEC,.JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 108-S Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., November 11, 1971 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the Office of the County Commissioners with the following members being present: Commissioners Capano and Flynn, and Deputy Controller Whalen. Also present being: Chief Clerk Murphy; Treasurer Morgan; Reporter Budinger of the Observer -Reporter; and Reporter Roule of the Monongahela Publishing Company. Meeting called to order by Chairman and roll call taken: Mr. Capano - Present; Mr. Whalen - Present; Mr. Flynn - Present. Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 107-S, each Commissioner and County Controller having received copies. Moved by Mr. Whalen, seconded by Mr. Capano, that Minute No. 107-S be approved, as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Capano - Yes; Mr. Whalen - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Moved by Mr. Capano, seconded by Mr. Whalen, that the salaries of the following temporary employees in the Magisterial Districts indicated be set at $130. 00 bi-weekly: MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #3: Virgle Lea Tardivo, secretary for the period of November 22, 1971 until December 6, 1971, while Barbara L. Traversari is hospitalized MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #9: Carol Pankas, secretary total 5 days and 2 1/2 hours vacation, 4 hours sick leave Roll call vote taken: Mr. Capano - Yes; Mr. Whalen - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. FLYNN, JOHN P, BEVEC, JOHN' MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS TAX ASSESSMENT: Philomena Chuey is to be removed from the Tax Assessment Office Payroll, effective November 15, 1971, She has four days vacation owed to her and is taking them November 9, 10, 11, & 12, 1971. JUVENILE DETENTION HOME: Moved by Mr. Capano, seconded by Mr. Whalen, that a voucher be prepared in the amount of $153. 00 for Daniel Luppino, Detention Home Counselor, who worked a total of 45 hours @ $3. 40 per hour for the dates from October 27, 1971 - Novembe 9, 1971. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Capano - Yes; Mr. Whalen - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PARKS & RECREATION: Moved by Mr. Whalen, seconded by Mr. Capano, that the salary of Richard Iacoponi, park maintenance at Mingo Creek Park, on a probationary basis be set at $202. 00 bi-weekly, effective November 15, 1971. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Capano - Yes; Mr. Whalen - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. WASHINGTON CO. BUILDING MAINTENANCE: Moved by Mr. Capano, seconded by Mr. Whalen, that the salary of Mike Kuzy, Night Watchman, who worked temporarily in place of Sam Beton, who was ill the days of November 8 & 9, 1971, be set at $13. 00 per shift (total - $26. 00) Roll call vote taken: Mr. Capano - Yes; Mr. Whalen - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. TREASURER'S OFFICE: Moved by Mr. Morgan, seconded by Mr. Capano, that the following Extra Payroll for the dates from October 30, 1971 - November 12, 1971, be approved for payment: Marjorie Celani 58 1/2 Hours @ $2. 00 per hour $117, 00 Harriet Giles 58 1/2 Hours @ $2. 00 per hour $117. 00 Eve Werst 13 Hours @ $2. 00 per hour $ 26. 00 Remarks: Mr. Morgan: The purpose of these girls is auditing computer bills that the computer didn't get audited correctly. TAX ASSESSMENT OFFICE: Moved by Mr. Capano, seconded by Mr. Elish, that Philomena Chuey be re -instated to the Tax Assessment Office Payroll, effective Friday, November 19, 1971, Remarks: Mr. Capano: She is working in the interest of Mr. Mazza on the Recount Board, so this Will be off and on.
