Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Whalen reported that one of the first fruits of the new electric tape equipment being used in the Controller's Office is that the physical preparation of payrolls can be eliminated. In a year's time this amounts to approximately 3, 000 man hours just to type payrolls. Instead a payroll voucher carrying the name of the department, department number and payroll period ending no change, can be used. Miss Gilbert stated that this is the first pay period this system has been used at both County Homes and the re- sults were very good. Mr. Whalen stated that effective with the next pay we anticipate hav a new form prepared for this purpose. Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the meeting adjourn. Meeting adjourned. Absent being: Commissioner Flynn who was in Harrisburg on business. Also present being: Chief Clerk Murphy; Administrative Assistant Whalen; Solicit Capano; Assistant Solicitor Hormell; Reporter Roule of the Monongahela Publishing Company; Reporter Liesch of the Brownsville Telegraph; and Public Information Officer Huber. MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #8: For a matter of record: Regular Secretary Eleanore Lutes, will be taking her vaca- tion from May 19, 1972 - June 1, 1972. She will be replaced by Albina Belsenti, Temporary Secretary for these two weeks at the rate of $136. 50 bi-weekly. CHILD WELFARE SERVICES: Resignation of Susan A. Lemenovich, Clerk Typist I, effective April 28, 1972. WASHINGTON CO. PLANNING COMMISSION: Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Miss Gilbert, that the salary of Stephanie Malik, summer intern for the Washington County Planning Commission (for. a period of 10 weeks) be set at $136. 50 bi-weekly, effective June 5, 1972. Work, Matron at the Juvenile Detention Home be set at $2, 00 per hour or $16. 00 per day, effective May 10, 1972; Also included in this motion is that a voucher be prepared in the amount of $130. 90 for Daniel Luppino, Detention Home Counselor who worked a total of 38Z Hours @ $3.40 per hour for the dates from April 26, 1972 - May 9, 1972.
