Remarks:
Mr. Paluso: What's happening there?
Mr. Murphy: We had a request from the Treasurer on these two extra help payrolls to
maintain them until the 14th due to the heavy mailing that came in. They had five large
boxes of mailing besides the mail that came in from different finance companies and
loan companies and banks in regards to the last day -mailing. He figures he needed these
two that were already broken in on the mailing machine to get this workload out so that
we can keep up with our reports going back and forth from Dayton. I went over and looked
at it and talked to Mr. Whalen about it and he left it go. at that. On the 14th these girls
will be taken off the payroll.
Mr. Jones: Is the money in the budget?
Mr. Murphy: Yes, he has money that he can revolve.
Mr. Paluso: What happened to the other four?
Mr. Murphy: They are working. The very next day they went to work. That's under the
PEP Program.
Mr. Elish: They are behind over there.
Mr. Jones: That's the reason we gave them four extra girls.
Mr. Murphy: The four girls are doing the posting and these two girls moved over to
take care of the mailing.
