BEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS 0 1 Minute No. 194S Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., August 17, 1972 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the Office of the County Commissioners with the following members being present: Commissioners Jones, Paluso, and Flynn; and Controller Elish. Also present being: Administrative Assistant Whalen and Frank Roney, Solicitor for the Controller's Office. Meeting called to order by Chairman and roll call taken: Mr. Jones - Present; Mr. Paluso - Present; Mr. Elish - Present; Mr. Flynn - Present. Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 18-S, each Commissioner and County Controller having received copies. Moved by Mr. Elish, seconded by Mr. Jones, that Minute No. 18-S be approved, as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. JUVENILE PROBATION: Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the salary of Ann Kruczek, Juvenile Probation Officer replacing Pamela Siegel, be set at $305. 00 bi-weekly effective August 21, 1972. Remarks: Mr. Flynn: The only thing I would like the courts to tell us - I assume this would go under Judge DiSalle's jurisdiction - does she meet the qualifications for the subsidy. That's what I want to know. Mr. Elish: Well, she is a philosophy major with an associate degree in sociology. Mr. Flynn: That's what I wanted to know. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the salaries of the following secretaries in the Magisterial Districts indicated be approved for payment: ,A44 SALARY IW IN UTE Ro O BOARD OF ,COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHI.NGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA MICHAEL R. FLYNN, JOHN Ps BEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #3: Barbara L. Traversari returned to work on August 14, 1972. Elvera Barcelona's last day was August 4, 1972. Part-time girl Deborah Gladfelter will be paid part-time for the week of August 7-11 (at $136. 50 bi-weekly) and full-time for the week of August 14-18, 1972 (at $143. 50 bi-weekly) MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #14: Patricia Swan replaced Annette Lesniakowski who was on vacation from July 24 to July 28, 1972 at $136. 50 bi-weekly. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. JUVENILE DETENTION HOME: Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the salary of James Gregg, Superintendent of the Juvenile Detention Home be set at $174. 50 bi-weekly and the salary of Margaret A. Gregg, Matron at the Juvenile Detention Home be set at $143. 50 bi-weekly, effective August 15, 1972. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. DEPT. OF PARKS & RECREATION: Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the salaries of the following employees of the Dept, of Parks & Recreation be set as indicated: Name: Jeff Paxton, part time employment to assist with the programming and use of the showmobile Leon Nickovich, transferred as Maintenance Helper at the Men's Home to Park Maintenance Gary Kossel, employment status changed to permanent Salary: $100. 00 bi-weekly $212. 00 bi-weekly $212. 00 bi-weekly Suzanne George, Janitorial Work $74, 00 bi-weekly (temporary) Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Note: Carol Simons employment with Washington County's Tax Assessment Office will be terminated as of 4: 30 P.M., Friday,. August 4, 1972. COURTHOUSE STAFF: For a matter of record: Resignation of Jesse Stimmel, Assistant Building Superintendent, effective August 16, 1972. Retirement of Sigmund I.,adzinski, Painter, effective August 18, 1972. JUVENILE DETENTION HOME: Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Elish, that a voucher be prepared in the amount of $137. 70 for Daniel Luppino, Detention Home Counselor, who worked a total of 40 1/2 Hours @ $3.40 per hour for the dates from August 2, 1972 - August 15, 1972. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PRISON: Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Jones, that the Medical Services Program for the Prison through the Office of Family Services of the Washington Hospital (which will consist of a staff of five doctors - Dr. George Schmelel, Director, Dr. D. G. Seneviratne, Dr. Penna Gonzales, Dr. Stanley Wang, Dr. Silverio Fno Jado) be approved at the rate of $300. 00 per month, subject to the limitation of obtaining a purchase of service agreement. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Note: The above is due to the resignation of Perry Smith, M.
