BEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS 1 1 1 THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: ATTEST: CHIEF CLERK Minute No. 20-S 1972 Office of the .County Commissioners Washington, Pa., Sept. 14, 1972 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the Office of the County sioners with the following members being present: Commissioners Jones and Paluso; and Deputy Controller Criquellion. Absent being: Commissioner Flynn - who was out of town on county business. Also present being: Chief Clerk Murphy; Administrative Assistant Whalen; Reporter Roule of the Monongahela Publishing Company; Reporter Robertson of the Observer - Reporter; and Luella Hart of the Department of Agriculture. Meeting called to order by Acting Chairman and roll call taken: Mr. Jones - Present; Mr. Paluso - Present; Mrs. Criquellion - Present; Mr. Flynn - Absent. Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions, or omissions to Minute No. 19-S, each Commissioner and County Controller having received copies. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mrs. Criquellion, that Minute No. 19-S be approved as read. .Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mrs, Criquellion - Yes; Mr. Jones - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mrs. Criquellion, that the salaries of the follow- ing secretaries in the Magisterial Districts indicated be approved for. payment: MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #3: Part-time girl Deborah Gladfelter has 2 1/2 days coming from her last pay. .She worked 5 da-1 the week of Aug. 21-25, and 2 1/2 days the week of Aug. 28 - Sept. 1, 1972. This comes to a total of 10 days for this pay. $136. 50 bi-weekly. MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #8: Albina Belsenti will replace Eleanore Lutes during her vacation for 4 days, starting September 27, 1972, and concluding on October 2, 1972. $136. 50.bi-weekly. OF PARKS & RECREATION: For a matter of record: William Clouston's employment with the parks was terminated effec- tive August 27, 1972. CORONER'S OFFICE: Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mrs. Criquellion, that the salary of Karen Hamel, secretary to the Coroner's Office for the days of August 24 and 25, 1972, due to the illness of the regular secretary, be set at $136. 50 bi-weekly. SHERIFF'S OFFICE: Total Amount: $25. 28 Moved by Mrs. Criquellion, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the following be approv- ed for payment: Payment of $20.00 to Rita Milchovich for services rendered in Transporting Irene Vrable to Mayview State Hospital on Sept. 6, 1972, Payment of $30.00 to the following deputies for services rendered for Silas Huddleston while he was being transported for medical checkup on September 6, 1972: Thomas DeFaffo John Popielarczyk Remarks: Mr. Paluso: I was wondering why we couldn't use regular deputies to transport Silas Huddles- t on to his medical checkups, since its a previously scheduled known duty that has to be per- formed on a certain day and I would request that the Sheriff try to schedule his regular who are on salary to be released, rather than have to bring in another $60 worth of deputies. When you know something is coming up, that is one thing. If this was an emergency, that is another thing. This was just a regular checkup. Mr. Murphy: I have arranged to talk to him this afternoon.
