CONTROLLER'S OFFICE: Moved by Mr. Elish, seconded by Mr. Jones, that the salary of Theresa Gergitch, temporary, clerk, be set at $136. 50 bi-weekly, effective October 16, 1972; Also included in this motion is that the salary of Abraham Nasin, Statistician in the Controller's Office be set at $270. 50 bi-weekly, effective October 16, 1972. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Moved by Mr. Elish, seconded by Mr. Jones, that the meeting adjourn. Meeting adjourned. Absent being: Commissioner Flynn. Also present being: Chief Clerk Murphy; Administrative Assistant Whalen; Assistant Solicitor Hormell; Reporter Roule of the Monongahela Publishing Company; Reporter Liesch of the Brownsville Telegraph; and Jack Merdian of WJPA. Meeting called to order by Acting Chairman and roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Present; Mr. Paluso - Present; Mr. Elish - Present; Mr. Flynn - Absent. Acting Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 22-S, each Commissioner and County Controller having received copies. TALLY CLERKS - ELECTION NIGHT: Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the salary of the tally clerks for Election Night, November 7, 1972, be set at $15. 00 per day. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Jones - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Moved by Mr. Elish, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the salaries for the following secretaries in the Magisterial Districts indicated be set as follows: MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #2: Permanent employment of Nancy Lupetin, Secretary, effective October 30, 1972 at $143. 50 bi-weekly. MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #3: Part-time employment of Pamela Olson (2 1/2 days per week) due to increased work load, $136. 50 bi-weekly, effective October 25, 1972. MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT # 6 : Esther Gallo replaced secretary Nancy Koslosky for one vacation day on September 29, 1972. Therefore, Mrs. Gallo worked 3 1/2 days instead of the usual 2 1/2 days at $136. 50 bi-weekly. MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #8: Albina Belsenti replaced secretary Eleanore Lutes on October 11, 1972 because of her six month checkup. $136. 50 bi-weekly. Louis I. Quail will be taking 5 vacation days from October 30 through November 3, 1972. He would like to take the remaining vacation days some time in December. MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #13: Marjorie Moore, Secretary - 124 hours of overtime from April 20, 1972 to August 25, 1972, based on $174. 50 bi-weekly. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Jones - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. The above requests were okayed by Judge Sweet. JUVENILE DETENTION HOME: Moved by Mr. Elish, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that a voucher be prepared in the amount of $129. 20 for Daniel Luppino, Detention Home Counselor, who worked a total of 38 hrs. @ $3. 40 per hour for the dates from October 11, 1972 to October 24, 1972 Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Jones - Yes. BEYEC, JOIJN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS 1 UTILIZATION REVIEW COMMITTEE: Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the salaries of Dr. Frederick Large and Dr. Ralph Blasiole, who have served on the Utilization Review Committee for the Washington Co. Home for the Aged, be increased by $50. 00 bi-weekly each, retroactive to September 1, 1972. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso -Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Jones - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Moved by Mr. Elish, seconded by Mr. Jones, that the salaries of the following employees be set as indicated: WASHINGTON CO. HOME FOR AGED WOMEN: Name: David Mazza, Beautician (returning to full time replacing Laura Neumanwho was working part-time) Bobbie Sensky, LPN Salary: $202. 00 bi-weekly $192. 00 bi-weekly Please note the following resignations: Effective Darte: October 28, 1972 October 23, 1972 Charles Blough, Watchman, effective October 20, 1972 Dolores Wilson, Housekeeper, effective October 14, 1972 WASHINGTON CO. HOME & HOSPITAL FOR MEN: Please note the following resignations: Douglas E. Wytovich, effective October 13, 1972 Davolia E. Marchesi, effective October 8, 1972 Georgeanna Baehr, effective October 14, 1972 Arthur H. McNary, effective October 17, 1972 Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Jones - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. TAX ASSESSMENT OFFICE: Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the salary of Ella M. Hannen, temporary clerk in the Tax Assessment Office, be set at $136. 50 bi-weekly, effective October 30, 1972. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Jones - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. REGISTER OF WILLS: Moved by Mr. Elish, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Lois Maltony be granted a maternity leave of absence until February 5, 1972. CLERK OF COURTS: Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Elish, that Tonie Corsie, Assistant Deputy be moved into the position of Chief Deputy, during the absence of Barbara Gibbs, Chief Deputy, effective November 13, 1972 at $290. 50 bi-weekly; Also inluded in this motion is that the employment status of Audrey Daugherty be changed from temporary to permanent effective October 30, 1972 at $1:43. 50 bi-weekly. RECORDER OF DEEDS: Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the salaries of Margaret Casey and Debra Bardelli, temporary clerks in the Recorder of Deeds Office 1 be set at $136. 50 bi-weekly, effective October 30, 1972. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Jones - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. SHERIFF'S OFFICE: Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the following be approved for payment: Mildred Pacilla, Matron - 13 days @ $30. 00 per day - $390. 00 (for the dates from October 9, 1972 - October 22, 1972) The following are to be paid $20. 00 for their duties as deputies when Frank Burkins was requested to be taken to Washington Hospital by Centerville Clinic at once by warrant. This was held in abeyance at Meeting No. 22-S: John Popielarczyk Thomas DeFabbo Albert Giles The explanation for the the request which was held in abeyance that was given to the board by Sheriff Debreczeni was - This was an emergency case in which a person went berserk.
