Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Elish, that Paula Teagarden
Matron in the Sheriff's Office be paid $390. 00 for working 13 days, starting October 22,
1972 and completed on November 1, 1972.

The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the Office of the
County Commissioners with the following members being present: Commissioners
Jones, Paluso, and Flynn; and Deputy Controller Criquellion. Also present being:
Earl Bugaile of WKEG; Chief Clerk Murphy; Administrative Assistant Whalen; Jack
Merdian of WJPA; Reporter Liesch of the Brownsville Telegraph; Reporter Roule of
the Monongahela Publishing Company; and Reporter Robertson of the Observer -Reporter.
Meeting called to order by Chairman and roll call taken:
Mr. Jones - Present; Mr. Paluso - Present;
Mrs. Criquellion - Present; Mr. Flynn - Present.
Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions
to Minute No. 24-S, each Commissioner and County Controller having received copies.
Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute No. 24-S
be approved, as read.

JUVENILE COURT:
Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the salary of Pamela
Siegel, temporary employees as Juvenile Probation Officer, be set at $305. 00 bi-weekly,
effective December 4, 1972.

ORHPHANS' COURT:
Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the salary of Shirley
L. Ardman, Clerk -Typist in the Orphans' Court (permanent) be set at $143. 50 bi-weekly,
effective December 1, 1972. This is a replacement for Susan Oberst who resigned.

MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #1:
Mary L. Godish, Secretary, will be taking her vacation from December 11, 1972 through
December 15, 1972.
MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT #6:
Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mrs. Criquellion, that the salary of
Helen B. Mihalek, who will be replacing Nancy Koslosky who was off November 16, 17,
& 20, 1972 due to illness, be set at $136. 50 bi-weekly.

CHILD WELFARE SERVICES:
Moved by Mrs. Criquellion, seconded by Mr. Flynn, that Deborah Day,
Caseworker, be granted an increment from an annual salary of $9011 to an annual salary
of $9454, effective November 6, 1972;
Also included in this motion is that Terrie Costello, Clerk -Typist I be
granted an increment from an annual salary of $5007 to an annual salary of $5268
effective December 29, 1972.
Remarks:
A lengthy discussion was held on the above increments and whether or not
they were over and above the increases given to the other employees at the beginning of

this year. In this discussion the question was brought up whether these employees
were state or county employees, being that the county has to meet the state Is civil
service requirements for their salary, in order to get funding for this program.

JUVENILE DETENTION HOME:
Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that a voucher be
prepared in the amount of $125. 80 for Daniel Luppino, Detention Home Counselor, who
worked a total of 37 hours @ $3. 40 per hour for the dates from November 8, 1972 -
November 21, 1972;
Also included in this motion is that a voucher be prepared in the amount
of $130. 90 for Daniel Luppino, Detention Home Counselor, who worked a total of
38 l/2 hours @ $3.40 per hour for the dates from November 22, 1972 - December 5,
1972.

Please Note: The above is for the entire month due to the fact that the Commissioners

November 17, 1972.
Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Tillie Perry,
Clerk in the Tax Assessment Office be granteda 60 day leave of absence, effective
November 8, 1972 due to medical reasons.
