Office of the County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., December 20, 1972
The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the Office of the County Commis-
sioners with the following members being present: Commissioners Jones, Paluso, and Flynn;
and Controller Elish. Also present being: Chief Clerk Murphy; Administrative Assistant
Whalen; and Sheriff Debreczeni.
Meeting called to order by Chairman and roll call taken:
Mr. Jones - Present; Mr. Paluso - Present;
Mr. Elish - Present; Mr. Flynn - Present.
Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute
No. 25-S, each Commissioner and County Controller having received copies.

MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT # 1:
For a matter of record: Susan Japp will replace Mary L. Godish, Secretary, during
her vacation from December 11 through December 15, 1972, at $136. 50 bi-weekly.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE:
Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the- salary of Raymond Oest, Head
Painter, replacing Zigmund Ladzinski, be set at $253.00 bi-weekly effective December 25, 19a2.

Foster Home Caseworker, be set at $5, 803.00 annually, effective January 1, 1973.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE:
A lengthy discussion was held on the subject of the matrons in the Sheriff's Office
hired prior to June 12, 1972. This matter was brought up at the Last Salary Board Meeting.
Mr. Debreczeni stated that he is ordered by court orders and directives to hire these matrons.
Mr. Flynn stated that the objection of the Commissioners was that they were not consulted on
these appointments of matrons.
Moved by Mr. Elish, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the wages be paid for the matrons
for Annette Gilly for the dates prior to June 12, 1972, that was arranged between the courts,
the state and federal government and the district attorney's office and that we go on record
paying these bills upon receipt of a directive from the courts.

Moved by Mr. Debreczeni, seconded by Mr. Elish, that the following salaries be
approved for payment, for matrons:
Paula Teagarden - 10 days @ $30. 00 per day - $300.00
(for the dates from December 6, 1972 - December 16, 1972)
Dorothy Ulom - 7 days @ $30. 00 per day - $210. 00
(for the dates from December 15, 1972 - December 22, 1972)
