BEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 51-S Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., December 6, 1973 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the Office of the County Com- missioners with the following members being present: Commissioners Jones, Paluso and Flynn and Controller Elish. Also present being: Chief Clerk and County Administrator Whalen; Reporter Robertson of The Observer -Reporter; Helen Miller of The League of Women Voters; Eric Bugaile of WESA; Mr. Pete Celani; and Mr. Gordon Core. Meeting called to order by Chairman and roll call taken: Mr. Jones - Present; Mr. Paluso - Present; Mr. Elish - Present; Mr. Flynn - Present. Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions, or omissions to Minute No. 50-S, each Commissioner and County Controller having received copies. as read. Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Minute No. 50-S be approved, Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. WASHINGTON COUNTY PRISON: Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the following per diem and part-time payroll be approved for payment: Alverta Denson, Matron 10 days @ $18. 34 $183.40 Corrine Yaros, Matron 11 days @ $18. 34 $201. 74 Paul Ross, Guard 9 days @ $26. 83 $241.47 Richard H. Mull, Guard 12 days @ $26. 83 $321. 96 Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; A/fr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. MEN'S HOME: For the record: Resignation of Richard V. Supler, effective November 21, 1973. Resignation of Helen L. Swart, effective November 22, 1973. JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS L, PROTHONOTARY'S OFFICE: Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the salary of Phyllis Matheny, Clerk -Typist filling the vacancy of Catherine Kelly, be set at $153, 11 bi-weekly, effective December 10, 1973. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. CHILD WELFARE SERVICES: Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that Miss Louise Abel, Public Wel- fare Administrator #3, be promoted from Step 42-B at an annual salary of $13, 979. 00 to Step 42-C at an annual salary of $14, 657. 00, effective January 1, 1974. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. JUVENILE DETENTION HOME: Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that a voucher be prepared in the amount of $146.20 for Daniel Luppino, Counselor, who worked a total of 43 hours @ $3.40 for the dates from November 20, 1973, to December 4, 1973. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso- Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PLANNING COMMISSION: Moved by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Paluso, that the salary of Frank DeGennaro, Planning Technician I, be set at $211. 54 bi-weekly, effective December 10, 1973. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Jones - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Elish - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously.
