FLYNN, JOHN P. BEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS Old Business: Mr. Maloney of Drug Research Associates, Inc. stated that it is difficult to get to the reason for the moratorium on drug testing in Pennsylvania. It seems that the reason could be the result of one case in which a sloppy medical program took place. Mr. Maloney stated that everything done with Washington County's Drug Program follows all of the outlines for procedures which is set up by the Food and Drug Administration. Judge Gladden thanked Mr. Maloney for his report. Meeting adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: ATTEST: SECRETARY Minute No. 5-P , 1973 1 r P Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., May 23, 1973 The Prison Board of the County of Washington met in the Commissioners' Conference Room at 11:40 a. m. , Wednesday, May 23, 1973, with the following members being present: Sheriff Debreczeni. Controller Elish; Commissioner Flynn; Judge Gladden; Commissioners Jones and Paluso. Absent being: District Attorney Costa; Judge Curran; Judge DiSalle, and Judge Sweet. Also present being: Warden Roupe and Administrative Assistant Whalen. Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions, or omissions to Minute No. 4-P, dated April 18, 1973, each member of the Board having received a copy. Being none, the minutes will stand approved, as read. Warden's Report: Warden Roupe stated that on May 8th, the state inspector was here. Verbally, he gave us a good report; and we will have it in writing soon. He also complimented the res- ponsible officers for the speed they used in installing a new heater for the hot water tank. On May loth, Warden Roupe went to California State College to attend a seminar on the New Juvenile Act No. 333; it was very constructive. Mr. Roupe stated that the new windows on the east side of the Jail were installe i two weeks ago. He asked them to hold off until the weather got better. We hope to start that again in the middle of June - weather permitting. Mr. Roupe talked to the Crime Commission yesterday and are hoping to get the check soon from the Crime Commission for the three projects. 1 L�
