Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that the meeting be Meeting adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: A February 6 1964 ATTEST: , CHIEF CLERK NO. 8 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., February 6, 1964 Board of County Commissioners met in regular session at 10:00 a.m., with the following members being present: Commissioners Flynn, Bevec and Mazza. Also present being County Solicitor Capano; Chief Clerk Debreczeni, Jr., Mr. Sittler of the Taxpayers' Association, Mr. Bradshaw and Reporter Crouse. taken: Meeting called to order by Chairman, Michael R. Flynn, and roll call Mr. Mazza - Present; Mr. Bevec - Present; Mr. Flynn - Present. Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions, or omissions to Minute No. 7, each commissioner having received a copy. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that the minute stand approved as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes; Mr. Flynn , Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Arnold W. Hirsch and R. L. Adamson be appointed (re -appointed) as members of the Washington County Planning Commission for a four-year term, effective January 1, 1964. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Walter Robertson, Superintendent of the Harmon Creek Coal Company, be appointed as a member of the Washington County Planning Commission in place of Hirem J. Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following legal holidays be observed by Washington County. New Year's Day Lincoln's Birthday Washington's Birthday Good Friday Memorial Day Flag Day Independence Day Labor Day Columbus Day Election Day Veterans' Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Remarks by Mr. Bevec: January 1st February 12th February 22nd March 27th (Friday preceding Easter Sunday) May 30th June 14th July 4th September 7th (First Monday in September) October 12th November 3rd (First Tuesday after first Monday in November) November llth November 26th (Last Thursday in November) December 25th These holidays are all in line with the State except that the State observes Primary Election Day as a legal holiday. Motion by Mr, Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following field registration days be set: Fallowfield Township Charleroi Borough Monongahela City Donora Borough California Borough Canonsburg Borough Burgettstown Borough Peters Township Remarks by Mr. Mazza: Elrama (Union Township) Fredericktown (East Bethlehem Township) Richeyville (Centerville Borough) Roscoe Borough Bentleyville Borough Marianna Borough I am going to vote for this motion, if after I meet with the committee, (Republican Committee) I may add additional days to this list if it would be necessary. Request granted. Mr. Bevec: Dates and hours to be selected at a later meeting. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Rev. Alexander Silay be appointed as a Chaplain replacing the Rev. William A. Hadden, for the Washing- ton County Home and Hospital for Men and the Washington County Home for Aged Women;
