such displaced families, are not generally less desirable in regard to public utilities and
public and commercial facilities than the dwellings of the displaced families in the Project
area, are available at rents or prices within the financial means of the displaced families,
and are reasonably accessible to their places of employment.
8. That in order to implement and facilitate the effectuation of the Urban
Renewal Plan and the Redevelopment Proposal hereby approved, the Board of Commissioner
of the County of Washington hereby pledges its co-operation in helping to carry out said
Urban Renewal Plan and Redevelopment Proposal and requests the various officials,
departments, boards and agencies of the county having administrative responsibilities. in
the premises likewise to co-operate to such end and to exercise their respective functions
and powers in a manner consistent with said Urban Renewal Plan and Redevelopment
Proposal, and stands ready to consider and take appropriate action upon further proposals
and measures designed to effectuate said Urban Renewal Plan and Redevelopment Proposal.

9. That additional financial assistance under the provisions of Title I of
the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, is necessary to enable the land in the Project area
to be renewed in accordance with the Urban Renewal .Plan for the Project area and,
accordingly, the filing by the Local Public Agency of an application or applications for
such financial assistance under said Title I is hereby approved,

Board of County. Commissioners met. ;in regular session at 10:00 a.m.,
with the following members being present: Commissioners Flynn, Bevec and Mazza.
Also present being County Solicitor Capano, Chief Clerk Debreczeni-, Jr,, Mr. Sittler of
the Taxpayers' Association, Reporter Crouse, Mr. Bradshaw and Mr. Joseph Ruffalo.

Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to
Minute Nos. 9 and 10, each commissioner having received a copy.
Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the minutes stand
approved as read.

Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Helen Borda be
appointed as a Cook (front kitchen) replacing Margaret Sawchuck, at the Washington County
Home and Hospital for Men; this action to be retroactive to February 17, 1964.

Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Audrey B. Farson be
appointed as a Practical Nurse at the Washington County Home for Aged Women; this ac
Ito be effective February 24, 1964. Mrs. Farson will be replacing Mary Reese who is res
March 1, 1964.

Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Lillian Baker be
appointed as a Practical Nurse at the Washington County Home for Aged Women; this
action to be retroactive to February 13, 1964.

Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Paul Eugene Trilby be
appointed as a Painter replacing Louis Toldza (Mr. -Toldza being transferred back to
Bridge Department); this action to be retroactive to February 17,1964.

Registration to be held during the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Coon Island
Grange Hall.

Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that the area of Chartiers
6th be designated for field registrations. The Registration Office to fix the date. Chief
Clerk's Office obtained the following date and place from the Registration Office and said
information made a part of the above motion. March 3, 1964, set as date for field
registration for Chartiers 6th Precinct during the hours of 4:00 p.m. to. 9:00 p.m. at the
Chartiers Township Building.

Mrs. Flenniken presented to the Commissioners five (5) Tax Claim Bureau
Sales for approval and following action was taken:
Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Resolution No. 1, for
property situate in Centerville Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and sold at Tax

Sale on October 29, 1962, described as follows: "Foundation, 0.529
acres surface, DB 101-256 formerly assessed in the name of .Mike and Dorothy Koscheck",
be approved, and the amount of $134.82 be accepted from GEORGE COWLEY and BETTY
COWLEY, his wife, they being the present owners -re-purchasing in order to clear the
cloud of title of the October 29, 1962, Tax Sale. Washington County Tax Claim Bureau
has received approval and consent of taxing districts involved; Borough of Centerville Schoc
District _ and Borough of Centerville Council.

NATIONAL BANK OF INDIA.NA, they being the present owners re -purchasing in order to
clear the cloud of title of the October 29, 1962, Tax Sale. Washington County Tax Claim
Bureau has received approval and consent of taxing. districts involved: Cecil Township
School and Road Districts.
