Mr. Bevec inquired if a 30-day binder of $229.00 would have to be paid to the Harris -De Zomba Agency, this being an extra premium charged. Mr. Tucci replied No. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned. Absent being Commissioner Flynn. Also present being Chief Clerk Debreczeni, Jr., Budget Director Gillespie and Mr. Bradshaw. Motion by Mr. Mazza, that in .the absence of the Chairman of the Board, Michael R. Flynn, that Mr. Bevec act as Acting Chairman of the meeting. taken: Meeting called to order by Acting Chairman, Mr. Bevec and roll call Mr, Mazza - Present; Mr. Bevec - Present; Mr. Flynn - Absent. Acting Chairman asked if there were any additions, corrections or omiss to Minute Nos. 19 and 20, each commissioner having received a copy.. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that the minutes stand approved as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that the Tax Assessment Office be authorized to ,prepare tax refunds for the following due to either duplication or overpayment on real estate or occupation tax. Morgan, Malcolm L. & Ruth A., 28 Old York Road, Washington, Pennsylvania, for duplicate payment of 1963 County Tax. On July 27, 1963, tax was paid in the amount of $12.16 Net on property situate in the City of Washington, Fifth Ward, Washington County, -Pennsylvania, described as 1 story frame house, part lot 71. On August 8, 1963, the York Realty Company duplicated this payment by paying taxes at Face in the amount of $12.80, therefore, a refund in the amount of $12.80 is due York Realty Company, 609 Washington Trust Building, Wash- ington, Pennsylvania. 2. Kendrick, John & Irene J. , 75 Pearl Drive, Pittsburgh 27, Pennsylvania, for duplicate payment of 1963 County Tax. On July 26, 1963, tax was paid in the amount of $21.46 on property situate in Peters Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as Lot 65, 2.55 acres, Lot 64, Giant Oak Plan. On July 30, 1963, the United Savings & Loan Association duplicated this payment in the amount of $21.46, therefore a refund is due to the United Savings & Loan Association, 631 Warrington Avenue, Pittsburgh 10, Pennsylvania, in the amount of $21.46. 3. Milan, George, Third & Boaz Streets, California, Pennsyl- vania, for overpayment of 1963 County Tax. On June 20, 1963, tax was paid in the amount of $51.09 on property situate in California Borough, Washington County, Pennsyl- vania, described as 1 story frame aluminum house, 1 story frame aluminum house and lot 34 Riverview, total valuation $4, 390. Tax Adjustment No. 447 reduced the valuation to $4255 and tax to $49.51, making a refund due in the amount of $1.58 to said owners. 4. Filewich, Mike Jr. & Norma, Elrama, Pennsylvania, for duplicate payment of 1963 County Tax. On July 19, 1963, tax was paid in the amount of $21. 00 on property situate in Union Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as 1 story frame house, garage, lots 313-314-315 total valuation $1805. Tax Adjustment No. 2520 increased the valuation to $2135; new notices sent to Mr. Filewich on this assessment, tax totaled $26.15. On August 30, 1963, the First Federal Savings & Loan Association paid the tax on this property in the amount of $26.15, thus causing a duplicate payment. Therefore, the First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Monessen, Box 1152, Schoonmaker & Sixth Streets, Monessen, Pennsylvania, is entitled to said refund. 5. Treush, Edward A. & Margaret, 942 Michigan Avenue, Wash- ington, Pennsylvania, for duplicate payment of 1963 County Tax. On July 31, 1963, tax was paid in the amount of $26.24 Net on property situate in South Strabane Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as 1 story frame house, garage, lot 46. ,On August .9, 1963, this payment was duplicated by Carl E. Hoy in the amount of $27.62 (paid at face). A refund voucher in the amount of $27.62 is due to Carl E. Hoy, 942 Michigan Avenue, Washington, Pennsylvania. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that Sara Solak be appointed as a Practical Nurse at the Washington County Home for Aged Women replacing Lillian Baker; this action to be effective March 12, 1964. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes. Motion carried.
