spoke concerning the bond issue; the gentleman was a member of the Coal Association and
not the Taxpayers' League as was reported.
Mr. Flynn: In answer to Mr. Bradshaw, the Budget will be finally adopted on a permaner
basis next Tuesday, March 31, 1964. Also, the matter of the lights being on in the

I courtrooms in the evenings will be checked. In regard to the gentleman who spoke on the
bond issue, I believe that it is a matter of record in the Court proceedings that he
represents the Coal Association.

Washington, Pa., March 31, 1964
Board of County Commissioners met in special session at 10:00 a.m., with
the following members being present: Commissioners Flynn, Bevec and Mazza. Also
present being: Controller Elish, Chief Clerk Debreczeni, Jr., Budget Director Gillespie,
Purchasing Agent Kittridge, Reporters Crouse and Merdian.
Meeting called to order by Chairman of the Board, Michael R. Flynn.
This special meeting being called for the specific purpose of adopting the
annual budget of Washington County for January lst to December 31st, 1964, and according
to the provisions of the Act of General Assembly, the Board of County Commissioners has
proof of publication that the budget has been advertised for inspection and has been on
display for a period of twenty days (in the Office of the Chief Clerk to the County Commis-
sioners) in compliance with the law.
Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Flynn, that the Budget for the C
of Washington for the fiscal year 1964 be finally adopted by the County Commissioners, the
said Budget having been available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk to
the County Commissioners from March 11, 1964, to this date, in accordance with the
provisions of the Act of Assembly of July 18, 1935, as amended, and the rate of taxation
