BEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS NO. 43 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 16, 1964 Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members being present: Commissioners Flynn and Bevec. Absent being Commissioner Mazza. Also present being County Solicitor Capano, Chief Clerk Debreczeni, Jr., Budget Director Gillespie, Reporters Crouse and Merdian. Meeting called to order by Chairman of the Board, Mr. Flynn, and roll call taken: Mr. Mazza - Absent; Mr. Bevec - Present; Mr. Flynn - Present. i Chairman z asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 42, I each commissioner having received a copy. Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Flynn, that Minute No. 42 be approved as read. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Bevec - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Flynn, that the Tax Assess- ment Office be authorized to prepare the following tax refunds due to either duplication or overpayment of real estate tax. 1. Froats, Willis & Margaret, R. D. 2, Box 126A, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, for overpayment of 1962 County Tax. On August 1, 1962, tax was paid in the amount of $24.33 on property situate in Smith Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as 1 story frame house and 0.559 acres surface, real estate valuation $2750.00. On September 7, 1962, real estate valuation was reduced by tax appeal to $1950.00 and tax to $25.02 net, making a refund due in the amount of $9.31 to said owners. E 2. Walch, Louis & Mary E. , Box 416, R. D. 1, Monongahela, Pennsylvania, for overpayment of 1963 County Tax caused by duplication of assessment. On July 2, 1963, tax was paid in the amount of $1.04 on property situate in Carroll Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as Lots 1-2-3-6-7- 8-9, total real estate valuation $90.00. On November 19, 1963, the Tax Assessment Office removed these lots as a duplication from their records and a refund is due in the amount of $1. 04 ` to the said owners. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Bevec - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Flynn, that RESOLUTION NO. 14, for property situate in Donegal Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and sold at Treasurers Tax Sales on January 23, 1940 and April 24, 1940, (to Washington County), a described as follows: Being property described as Lot 27, Carson Avenue, Chapman 9 s Terrace, situate in Donegal Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, formerly assessed in the name of Fred Parshall Est., and the amount of $63. 74 be accepted from KENNETH BROWNLEE, Washington County Tax .Claim Bureau having received approval I and consent of taxing districts involved: Donegal Township School District May 5, 1964, ! Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Flynn, that RESOLUTION NO. 15, for property situate in Bentleyville Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and sold at Treasurers Tax Sales on January 22, 1940 and April 22, 1940, (to Washington County), described as follows: Being property described as House and Lot 119 & 120, McCormick Plan in the January 22, 1940, Treasurers Tax Sale and, also described as Lots 119 & 120 McCormick Plan in the April 22, 1940, Treasurers Tax Sale, formerly assessed in the name of Gamone Calegara a/k/a Ganibino Calegro, situate in the Borough of Bentleyville, Washington County, Pennsylvania (house razed), additional descriptions found in DB 427 Page 463 and DB 470 Page 446, and the amount of $50.00 to be accepted from JOHN D. SMITH and MARGARET SMITH, his wife. Washington County Tax Claim Bureau having received approval and consent of taxing districts involved: Borough of Bentleyville School District May 13, 1964 and Bentleyville Borough June 1, 1964. Waychoff, and the amount of $50.00 be accepted from JOHN D. SMITH and MARGARET SMITH, his wife. WHEREAS, the Ingersoll-Rand Company, of New York recently acquired
