FLYNN, JOHN P. SEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS t the Lee -Norse Company, of the Charleroi Area as a wholly -owned subsidiary; and WHEREAS, the Ingersoll-Rand Comapny's top-ranking officials have indicated their intention to remain in the present location and to continue the same 1 operations with the hope of future expansion; and i WHEREAS, the Ingersoll-Rand Company is one of our nation's i leading, large, modern and progressive industries, and, we believe, its presence in Washington County will constitute a boom to the industrial future and development of our county; therefore, be it RESOLVED: that the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County extend to the said Ingersoll-Rand Company and its officials, our heartiest i greetings and welcome into our County, and our sincere wishes that they shall continue to prosper, progress and expand; and further, we offer to said Industry and its officials j the services of our county government, including the Washington Industrial Development Corporation, the Washington County Planning Commission and our personal assistance, if ever needed in their future plans and program. Absent being Commissioner Flynn. Also present being County Solicitor Capano, Chief Clerk Debreczeni, Jr., Budget Director Gillespie, Reporters Crouse and Merdian. BEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS 1 C Motion by Mr. Mazza, that in the absence of the Chairman, Mr. Bevec act as Chairman of this meeting. call taken: Meeting called to order by Acting Chairman, Mr. Bevec, and roll Mr. Mazza - Present; Mr. Bevec - Present; Mr. Flynn - Absent. Chairman asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 43, each commissioner having received a copy. be approved as read. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that Minute No. 43 Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for the printing and delivering to the Election Department of the County Commissioners the necessary ballots, and election supplies, required for the conduct of the General Election, to be held Tuesday, November 3, 1964, and the delivering of ballot boxes with election supplies to the Judges of Election for the various election districts throughout Washington County. Bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office in the Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania, until 11:00 a.m., Daylight Saving Time, Thursday, August 27, 1964, and publicly opened immediately there- after in the Office of the County Commissioners. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that the Tax Assess- ment Office be authorized to prepare the following tax refund due to overpayment of real estate tax. 1. Yazevac, Alex and Ann, R. D. 2, Box 108F, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, for overpayment of 1962 County Tax. On August 1, 1962, tax was paid in the amount of $46.84 net, on property situate in Smith Township, Washington County, described as 1 story brick house, garage, lot 5, real estate valuation $3825.00. On September 14, 1962, real estate valuation was reduced by tax appeal to $3300.00 and tax to $40.74 net, making a refund due in the amount of $6.10 to said owners. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Dorothy June Wright, be appointed as a Practical Nurse at the Washington County Home and Hospital for 162 MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA MICHAEL R.
