BEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS 11 n r_J Moved by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Tax Assessment Office be authorized to prepare the following tax refund, due to either duplication or overpayment of real estate tax, Hauser, John H. and Constance T. of Peters Township - 1965 Assessment. Tax in the amount of $112.58 Net was paid on August 1, 1965 and payment was duplicated on August 19, 1965 by the Mellon National Bank and Trust Company, Mellon Square, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, making a refund due in the amount of $118. 51 to the Mellon National Bank and Trust Company. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. New Business: Moved by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for 80 cubic yards of ready -mixed Class "B" Concrete (more or less), according to specifications of the Pennsylvania Department of Highways Form 408, dated 1960, with calcium chloride added in cold weather; to be delivered to the Myers School Bridge No. 19 on Ten Mile Creek, located east of Washington, Penn- sylvania, turning right at Glyde on L. R. 62077, which leads directly to the job site. Said bids to be received at the Office of the County Controller until 11:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, Thursday, February 10, 1966, and will be publicly opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Mazza - Yes; Mr. Bevec - Yes; Mr. Flynn - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Moved by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that the meeting adjourn. Meeting adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: January 20, 1966 ATTEST NO. 118 CHIEF"CLERK Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., January 17, 1966 Board of County Commissioners met in special session for the sole purpose of adopting a resolution concerning the sale of the Nike Site, PI-52, situate in Peters and Union Townships, Washington County, Pennsylvania, to the Washington Industrial Develop- ment Corporation. Members being present: Commissioners Flynn, Bevec and Mazza. Also present being Solicitor Capano and Chief Clerk Kittridge. Meeting called to order by Chairman and roll call taken: Mr, Mazza - Present; Mr. Bevec - Present; Mr. Flynn - Present. 6-194 u I N UTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA :MICHAEL R. FLYNN, JOHN P. BEVEC, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS Moved by Mr. be adopted: seconded by Mr. RESOLUTION that the following resolution WHEREAS, the County of Washington is in the process of acquiring title to a tract of land, known as Nike Site PI-52, situate in Peters and Union Townships, Washing- ton County, Pennsylvania, from the United States of America, through the General Services Administration, scheduled for approval by the Court of Common Pleas on Monday January 17, 1966; and WHEREAS, the said tract of land is being acquired in accordance with recent' Legislation enacted, Section 2305. 1 of the County Code, granting to counties the authority to purchase land for industrial development and use; and said tract is being purchased solely for said industrial development purposes; and WHEREAS, the County of Washington has received an offer of $24, 000. 00 for said tract of land from the General Concrete Units Corporation, through the Washington Industrial Development Corporation of Washington, Pennsylvania, with the assurance that the said land will be used solely for and upon delivery of, possession for industrial development and manufacturing purposes; and WHEREAS, from consultation with the various county industrial agencies, the Board of County Commissioners are of the opinion that the offer of $24, 000. 00 is a fair and just price for the sale of said tract of land for industrial purposes is for the best interest and development of the County of Washington in providing job and business opportunitities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Washington County Commissioners, that: 1. That said tract of land known as Nike Site PI-52, be sold to the Washington Industrial Development Corporation for the sum of $24, 000. 00, subject to approval by the Court of Common Pleas; 2, The County Solicitor be and he hereby is authorized to prepare and present a petition to the Court of Common Pleas for the approval of the price and sale of said tract of land and to prepare a Deed upon Court approval; 3. Michael R. Flynn, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, upon approval by the Court of Common Pleas of the said sale and sale price, be and is hereby authorized to execute all necessary legal papers in making the conveyance to Washington Industrial Development Corporation, as attorney in fact for the County Commissioners.
