I THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: i March 16, 1 60 ATTEST: C CLERK A NO 6 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa,, January 12, 1960 Board of County Commissioners in special session those present being: Con- missioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza, Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Eli Arnal, be appointed as an Assistant Sealer in the Department of Suer of Weights and Measures, this action to be effec- i tine January 16, 1960. Mr. Arnal is replacing John Makel. a Motion carried unah-tmoudiy, Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, i relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to. wit: "WHER'EAS, it has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000,00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1960, j and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1960, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate 6 a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them payable out of taxes which have been levied and to be collected during the year 1960, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary i to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and } issue a note therefore, payable August 8, 1960, with interest from date of said note at the N rate of two and three fourth per cent (2-3/4%) per annmu, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Penns lvania which said taxes the Count of Washington Pennsylvania., y assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows: PITTSBURGH NATIONAL BANK, WASHINGTON, PENNSYLVANIii` . .. .,$200,O G*O0" Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the regular scheduled meeting Of the Board of Commissioners for Wednesday, January 13, 1960, be postponed until Friday, January 15, 1960, due to the absence of the Chairman of the Board, Francis E, Pettit, 4 1 Motion carried unanimously.
