BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
FRANCIS E. PETTIT, J. BLATCH CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS
that purpose, and issue a note therefore, payable August 8, 1960, with interest from date of
said note at the rate of two and three fourth percent (2-3/4%) per annunt, free of all taxes
levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes
and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows:

Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr- Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the
amount of 68.40 be made payable to Harry B. Edgar, R. D. 1, Venetia, Pennsylvania, reason
for refund being that the assessment was removed by tax adjustment no. 612, as being tax

exempt, this is a personal property refund. On July 1, 1958, the amount of $68,40 was paid

by Mr. Edgar on personal property valued at $18,000,00, at a later date however, this asetess-
went was removed b Tax Adjustment No. 612 as being tax exempt,, thus making i y J , ng pt, a refund in the
amount of $68.40 due to Mr. Edgar. Therefore, the Personal Property Department of the Tax
Assessment Office, is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $68,40
made payable to Harry B. Edgar, R. D. 12 Venetia, Pennsylvania.
Motion carried unanimously,
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Mary Asbury, be appointed
} to the Cleaning Staff at the Courthouse, this action to be retroactive to February 1, 1960,
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to cane before the Board at this time, the
meeting adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being Commis-
sioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
¢ Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit that the following estimate as
submitted by John Nicolella of Washington, Pennsylvania in the total amount of $693.00 be

accepted for the followi rg outlined. work:
E Closing in the openings around the skylights with
screen and replacing the downspouts from the above
roof. These four (4) downspouts should be replaced
to prevent further damage to the Skylights. By
enclosing the openings this will prevent the birds
from damaging the new drains which were recently
! installed. All of the above work is to be done and
f all labor, material and insurance necessary to
complete the job is to be furnished by me. The
complete job is to be done for the sum of (Six
Hundred Ninety Three Dollars) $693.00
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the contract entered into

March of 1959 between the County and Michael A. Boyle for the assessment of coal in Washington
County, which contract under its terms is to expire February 29, 1960, is hereby renewed under
the same terms on a month to month basis,
