Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being Commis-
sioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit., that Earl K. McClelland, be
appointed as a draftsman in the Tax Assessment Office; this action to be retroactive to
February 161, 1960. Mr. McClelland is a replacement.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to cane before the Board at this time, the
meeting adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being: Com-
missioners Pettit., Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cu mans, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Solicitor be
authorized to petition the Court of Common Pleas for its approval to sell at Private Sale
the following described property to the following person for the sum or price set opposite
the same., plus, the costs in each case: This property was included in minute no. 10, dated
January 25., 1960, bid price being $120.00. Said minute approved by the Washington County
Commissioners on January 25, 1960.. bid rejected by our appraiser, Andrew J. Barnickel on
January 20, 1960, as insufficient. A higher bid has been offered, which is acceptable.

In the absence of County Controller Peter Elish; the County Commissioners
opened, read and tabled the following bids received for the printing and delivering of
necessary ballots, election supplies and ballot boxes for the General Primary Election to
be held on Tuesday, April 26, 1960.

In accordance with advertisement of the County Controller, inviting proposals

for printing and delivering to the Office of the County Commissioners the necessary ballots
for the conduct of the General Primary to be held Tuesday, April 26, 1960, having examined
the attached specifications and understand the same, I (or ire) propose to furnish said
ballots in accrrdance therewith at the prices set forth:
! Approximately 100,000 regular white official ballots:
Price per thousand for ballots furnished. $ 41-50
1 Approximately 200 regular white official military ballots
and as specifications as hereinafter set forth. $ 285.00 per to

I Approximately 20,000 pink official specimen ballots for
election district:
Price per thousand for specimen ballets furnished. $ 21.50
a Approximately 10,000 pink official specimen ballots for
candidates, (as set forth in attached specifications)
Price per thousand for specimen ballots furnished. 21.50
Approximately five complete sets of specimen ballots for
I County Board of Elections as set forth in attached specifications:
Price per five sets. $ 104.00
For printing, binding and delivering any re -run of a ballot
I of any election district because of error on the part of
any county employee:
Minimum charge per election district for re -run of 100 ballots
or less. $ 8.25
j Charge per 100 re -run ballots for same district in addition to
minimum charge. 3-75
A certified check in the amount of $500.00 is enclosed herewith as evidence
that the bidder will accept same and carry out the conditions of the contract in case of
award.

posals for the furnishing and delivering to the Office.of the County Commi.ssiorers: Supplies
to include computing books, the required quantity of military envelopes and instruction sheets
(the quantity to be determined by size of each election district), tally sheets, return
sheets, envelopes, numbered lists of voters, voter's certificates, Election Officers' Manuals,
etc., required for use of the election officers at the General Primary, to be held April 26,
1960, having examined the attached specifications and understanding the same, I (or We)
propose to furnish these supplies in accordance therewith, for the sum of:
$1,900.00
A certified check in the amount of $100.00 is enclosed herewith, made payable
to Washington County Commissioners, as evidence that the bidder will accept same and carry
out the conditions of the contract in case of award.
