A certified check in the amount of $100.00, made payable to the Washington County Commissioners.. is enclosed herewith as evidence that the bidder will accept same and carry out the conditions of the contract in case of award. THE FOR=ING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: Karci( 16, Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., March 7, 1960 Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being: Commissioners Pettit, Cummins, Mazza and Deputy Controller Luketich. Following action taken on the printing and delivering of necessary ballots, election supplies and ballot boxes for the General Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, April 26, 1960; bids were opened, read and tabled on March 4.. 1960. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the contract for the printing and delivering of ballots to be used at the General Primary Election to be held on April 26, 1960, be awarded to MONONGAHELA PUBLISHING COMPANY, Monongahela, Pennsylvania and the WARD PRINTING COMPANY, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the prices as set forth in their joint bid; this being the lowest and only bid received. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the WILLIAM G. JOHNSTON COMPANY, P. 0. Box 6759, Pittsburgh 12, Pennsylvania.. be awarded the contract for the furnish- ing of election supplies for the General Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, April- 26, 1960, for the sum of $1,900.00 (One thousand nine hundi+ed dollars); this being the lowest and only bid received. Motion carried unanimously.
