Washington, Pa., May 6, 1960
Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being: Commissioners
Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Robert S. McAnallen, R. D. 6,
Washington, Pennsylvania, be appointed as assessor in South Franklin Township, replacing George
D. McNeely, who has resigned.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount
of $2.42, be made payable to the Pittsburgh National Bank, 6 South Main Street, Washington, Penn -
Sylvania., due to a duplicate payment of 1959 County Tax. On July 11, 1959, John D. Roccon, paid
his 1959 County Tax in the amount of $2.42 on property situate in Nt, Pleasant Township, Washing-
ton County,, Pennsylvania and described as 0.526 acres,, DB 984 467 Chapman RR. The Pittsburgh
National Bank on July 22, 1959 duplicated this payment. The Tax Assessment Office, upon proper
certification of duplicate payment by the County Treasurer's Office and approval of the County
Controller is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $2.42, payable to
Pittsburgh National Bank, 6 South Main Street, Washington, Pennsylvania.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza,. that a refund voucher in the amount
of $3.64, be made payable to Mellon National Bank and Trust Co., 40 South Main Street, Washington,
Pennsylvania, due to a duplicate payment of 1959 County Occupation Tax. On July 23, 1959, Mellon
National Bank and Trust Company, paid the 1959 County Occupation Tax for the following assessments
Bannister, Arthur R, & Roberta K., 1865 Hilltop Lane, Washington, Pennsylvania, Laborer 100 Rouse
keeper 100, Lot 1 - 100, DB 960-572 Beatty Plan. 2, this tax was paid at net in the amount of $3.6L.
By tax adjustment no. 1154 a 1 story brick house and garage were added and a new tax card mailed,
As a result, the Mellon National Bank and Trust Company on .August 1, 1959s again paid the amount
of $3.64 which represents the amount due for occupation and Lot 1, thus causing a duplicate payment in
amount. The Tax Assessment Hffice, upon proper certification of duplicate payment
said/by the County Treasurerts Office and approval of the County Controller is hereby authorized
to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $3.64 payable to Mellon National Bank and Trust
Company, 40 South Main Street, Washington, Pennsylvania.
Motion carried unanimously,
