BLATCH CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZ,A, COMMISSIONERS No. 35 Office of the County Gommissioaers Washington, Pa., May 18, 1960 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being: Com- missioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that C. 0, Williams be appointed Director of Election Bureau (Registration Office), replacing Genesio L. Carlini who has re- signed. This action to be effective May 7, 1960. Motion carried unanimously. .Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Eleanor Lutes be appointed Assistant Director of Election Bureau. This action to be effective May 16, 1960. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Steve Smoggie be appointed as a Field Worker and Tracer in the County Engineer's Office, This action to be effective May 4, 1960. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. -Mazza., that Mary V. McCullogh whose address is 545 Fayette St., Washington, Pa., be appointed as Assessor the district of Wash- ington 8th Ward to fill the unexpired term of Forrest Wonsettler who has resigned. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the resignation as submitted by Mr. Paul J. Pettit of the Engineer's Office, be accepted. This action to be effective Monday, May 16, 1960 at 4 P.M. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Minute Nos. 20-21-22-23-2I- 25-26-27-28-29-30-31�3 2 33 and 34 were read and approved. Motion carried unanimously. There`being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 20th day of May, A.D., 1960, by and between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Highways, hereinafter called the Commonwealth, and the County of Washington, by its County Commissioners, hereiAifter called County. WITNESSETH WHEREAS, the Commonwealth is makingj, or is about to make and improvement of Legislative Route 622093, Section 1, located in Ros+eoe, Alleinport and Long Branch Boroaghs between Stations 0.08 and 85+00, Washington County, which will require the taking of additional property for right-of-way purposes, and the payment of damages to the owners thereof; and WHEREAS, the County, by resolution duly adopted, has refused to assume responsi- bility for any of the pyoperty damages involved to the improvement but desires to make a con- tribution to said damages in order to assist in the construction of the highway, MOW, THERMRE, IT IS AGREED by and between the parties hereto-, SECTION 1, The Commonwealth will proceed to make theimprovement and will assume responsibility for all property damages incurred by reason thereof, and will pay to the Property owners or ethers legally entitled to receive the same, when and as aseiertained either by legal proceedings or by agreement with the owners, the full amount of property damages to which they are legally entitled. SECTION 2. The county of Washington shall pay the Commonwealth the -am of Seven Thousand ($7000.00) Dollars toward the property damages, said sum to be payable in two inc s as follows: The sum of $3, 500*00 to be paid on .o r before March 1, 1961, The sm of $3,500,00 to be paid an or before Dooember 1, 1961. This contribution is made with the understanding that payment will be duo and parable only upon certification from the Secretary of Highways that ,payment of the in mee:tta of $39,500.00 . have been expanded by the Department of HighwiW6 for the settlemasit of property damages for the aforesaid SECTION 3. The estimated amount of property damagesin connection with the proposed mprovement is Thirty --five thousand six hundred seventy-five ($35,675.00) Dollars, IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have affixed their hand and seals the day and year first above written.
