BOARD'OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WAASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVAN[A

The contribution is made with the understanding that payment will be due and payable only upon
certification from the Secretary of Highways that payment of the installments of $3s500*00 each
have been expended by the Department of Highways for the settlement of proper es for the
aforesaid improvement,

Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the County, acquire by purchase,
the property of Mary N..Dziak and George Scott Bell, Jr., situate in South Strabane Townships for
use in connection with the Agricultural Fair Grounds at Auden, Pennsylvania., for a consideration
of $6s600.00s such purchase being subject to a donation of $32300.00 by the Industrial Development
Corporation to be applied on the purchase price.
Motion carried only.
Lotion by N2,,. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount
of $36.34 be made payable to John D. and Grace Figley, Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania,
due to a duplicate payment of 1959 County Tax. On July 3s 1959,-Mr, Figley paid takes on property
situate in Burgettstown Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as 2-story frame hous«3
assessed at $2,t7OO and lot 65x12O assessed at $300. total assessment being $3,000.00; total amour
of taxes paid at discount being $36,34, This property was transferred in error from Helen Figley
Burns to John D. & Grace Figley. On August 1, 1959s Firs. Burns also paid taxes on the same
assessment at discount in the amount of $36.34 thus making a duplicate payment and a refund of
$36.34 due to John D. and Grace Figley. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby, antherized
to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $36.34 payable to John D. and Grace Figley, High.
