Board -of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being: Commissioners
Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the proposal of the Pennsylvania
Drilling Company, involving personal services and professional expert advice, be accepted in the
amount of $l,400.00 for soil analysis and laboratory testing in connection with the 1961 Airport
Project.

Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being: Commissioners

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following estimate to replace
the roof ever the front porch of the warden's residence as submitted by John Nicolella of Washing.
tan, Pennsylvania be accepted in the total mount of $732.00,
We hereby submit specifications and estimates for. -
Replacing the roof over the front porch of the jail (Warden's Residence) the roof
will be a 5 ply roof guaranteed against any and all leaks for a period of five (5) years. The
plaster is to be repaired and painted and I will carry the necessary insurance to complete the
job*
We hereby propose to furnish the above complete in accordance with the above
specifications for the sum of Seven Hundred Thirtjr Two Dollars ($732.00).

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be author,
ized to transfer from the Liquid Fuels Tax Fund to the General Fund the sum of $800000.00, this
being repayment of three (3) temporary loans as follows:

Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Washington Cotonty Courthouse
and Offices of the Washington County Institution District be closed on Saturday July lst and
Monday July 4th, 1960; the Fourth of July being a legal holiday.
Motion carried unanimously.

Office of the County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., June 29, 1960
Board of County Commissioners met in special session at 1:30 P.M., for the purpose
of opening bids for services and equipment to be provided on contract for records management and
microfilming program for Washington County Courthouse; those present being Commissioners Pettits
Cummins, Mazza, Controller Elish and County Solicitor Docktor.
In accordance with aforesaid advertisement the one and only proposal received
from Remington Rand was opened and read.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by lbs. Mazza, that the bid of Remington Rand in
the total amount of $32,819.00 be tabled until Fridays July lst. Proposal and specifications
being on file in the Office of the Chief Clerk and the County Controller.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Commissionert
Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the request for a two (2) month
leave of absence as submitted by Lena Belle Hardy, Clerk in the Tax Assessment Office, be granted
effective the 1st of July, 1960.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that David Sloan, be appointed as a
temporary clerks replacing Lena Belle Hardy in the Office of the Tax Assessment, this action to
be effective July 1, 1960.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Nr. Mazza, that Hubert Eyper, be appointed as
a Deed Seacher in the Tax Assessment Office, this action to be retroactive to June 27s 1960.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Katherine Patterson, be appointed
as a cleaning woman tt the Courthouse, this action to be effective July 1, 1960.
