BLATCH CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS --,- - - - --- ---- -- Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for the printing and delivering to the Election Department of the County Commissioners the necessary ballots and election supplies required for the conduct of the General Election to be held Tuesday, November 8, 1960s and the delivering of ballot boxes with election supplies to the Judges of Election for the one hundred eighty-eight (188) precincts. Bids to be received by the County Controller, in_his office in the Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania, until 11:00 a.m., Daylight Savings Time, Friday, August 17, 1960, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners, Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $2.73 be made payable to Thomas L. & Gayle Mankey, Box 6, Amity, Pennsylvania, for duplicate payment of occupation tax for the year of 1959. The Mankeys' have two pieces of property in Amwell Township with occupation tax listed on both, described as Manager 125, and Housekeeper 100. listed under Iawson and Gayle Mankey also listed under Thomas L. & Gayle Mankey. Taxes were paid on both properties thus causing a duplicate payment of the occupation in the total amount of $2.73. The Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $2.73 payable to Thomas L. & Gayle Mankey, Box 6, Amity, Pennsylvania. Receipts are on file in the Tax Assessment Office. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. The following two proposals were received for the repairing of the gutters on the Washington County Jail Building. J. L. Miller & Sons 725 Broad Street Washington, Penna. Date June 1, 1960 We propose to repair the gutters on the North side of the Jail forthe sum of Eight Hundred Dollars ($800.00). We are to furnish all materials and labor for the job. The work is guaranteed for a period of one year.
