Representatives of the Pennsylvania Economy League met with the Commissioners to discuss the different phases of industrial appraising. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: Sept a 30, 960 ATTES hief Clerk N0. Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., August 10, 1960 Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being: Com- missioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Patricia Simon, be appointed as a temporary clerk in the Tax Assessment Office, this action to be retroactive to August 8, 1960. Miss Simon to be employed for the following period: August 8th to September 1st. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Margaret Zwirek, be appointed as a temporary clerk in the Tax Assessment Office, this action to be retroactive to August 1, 1960, Miss Zwirek is being transferred from the Controllerts Office. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for the furnishing and delivering of Tax Assessment Supplies for the year 1961, to be used by the Washington County Tax Assessment Office; said bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office in the Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania, until 11:00 a.m., Daylight Savings Time, Friday, August 26, 1960, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of,the County Commissioners. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for the furnishing and delivering of coal for the Court- house and Jail Buildings for the 1960-1961 season. Bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office in the Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania, until 11:00 a.m., Daylight Savings Time, Wednesday, September 14, 1960, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the Washington County Commissioners. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $2.42 be made payable to Irwin and Edith Loughman, 255 Greenhill Drive, Washington, Pennsylvania, due to duplicate payment of their 1960 occupation tax. This request covers occupation taxes paid with property assessed in Morris Township, said occupation taxes being a duplication with per capitas on property for the Loughmans in North Franklin Township where they live. Receipts are on file in the Tax Assessment Office. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in -the amount of $3.66 be made payable to Michael Dibarry, 409 Marne Avenue, Monongahela, Pennsylvania, due to duplicate payment of occupation tax for the following years 1957, 1958 and 1959- This refund covers occupation taxes paid for the above mentioned years as a duplication with occupation tax on property assessed to him in Monongahela 3rd ward and paid for said years. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $3.66 payable to Michael Dibarry, 409 Marne Avenue, Monongahela, Pennsylvania, receipts are on file in the Tax Assessment Office. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $3.66 be made payable to Louise Dibarry, 409 Marne Avenue; Monongahela, Pennsylvania, due to duplicate payment of occupation tax for the following years 1957, 1958 and 1959. This refund covers occupation taxes paid for the above mentioned years as a duplication with occupation tax on property assessed to her in Monongahela 3rd Ward and paid for said years. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $3.66 payable to Louise Dibarry, 409 Marne Avenue, Monongahela, Pennsylvania. Receipts are on file in the Tax Assessment Office. Motion carried unanimouslyy. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Board of County Com- missioners sitting as the Registration Commission of Washington County approve the following field registration day for the General Election to be held•the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. 2nd LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT September 6 North Strabane 1st Linden School 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
