Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution of the
Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, relative
to the issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Thousand ($1001.000.00) Dollars as a
temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to -wit:
"WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred
Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 196a, and
to be payable out of taxes and other trurrent revenues which have been assessed and have been
levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1960; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washingto*,
that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the
proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary
loan on such terms as -may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have -been levied and
to be collected during the year 1960, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said
loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note there-
fore, payable December 30, 1960, with interest from date of said note at the rate of two and one
half per cent (2 �%) perannum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which
said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and
issued as follows:
PITTSBURGH NATIONAL BANK, WAS HINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA........... ..................... $100,000.00"

Motion by Mr, Cummin$, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Agnes Cheroke., Clerk of the
Tax Claim Bureau, be .transferred to the Child Welfare Services; this action to be effective
November 1, 1960. .
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Mildred Sten, Clerk of the
Tax Assessment Office be transferred to the Tax Claim Bureau, this action to be effective Novembe-
i, 1960. lairs. Sten is replacing Mrs. Cheroke.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher, in the amount
of $2.80 be made paybble to Michael and Mary Magiske, Box 108, Elrama, Pennsylvania, due to in-
correct payment of 1959 Occupation Tax. Mr. & Mrs. Magiske were assessed with occupation tax An
property situate. in Union Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, for the year 1959; tax was
paid at penalty. Being that Mr. & Mrs. Magiske are not residents of said Township or said County
it is not proper to be assessed with occupation tax, therefore, a refund in the amount of $2.80
is due Mr. & Mrs. Magiske, and the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorid to prepare said
refund. Receipts are on file in the Tax Assessment Office.
Motion carried-uhanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount
of $1.22 be made payable to George Millan, 32nd & Boaz Street, California, Pennsylvitaia, due to
duplication of 1960 !Occupation Tax. Mr. Millan is the owner of two pieces-of.property in said
Borough of California, Washington County, on which occupation tax is carried.< Mri Millan paid
his taxes at discount on both pieces of:property thus causing a duplicate payment of occupation
tax; Therefore. the Tax Assessment.Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher
in the amount of.$142,made payable -to George Millan, 32nd..& Boaz Street, California,-Pennsylvanin.
Receipts are on file in the Tax.Assessment Office.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion. by: Mr,.._ Cummins, seconded by ,Mr: Mazza,, that a refund voucher. in the amount
of $2.56 be made payable to Victor. & Betty .Saunoras, Box) 273.,. Cecil., Pennsylvania; due to duplicate
payment of 1960 occupation tax. On July 19, 1960, Victor & Betty Saunoras� paidltaxes on property
situate in Cecil Township, -Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as 5.roo&,frame house and
Lot DB 953-626 adj. G. Altieri,.occupation listed as: Miner $100. Housekeeper $100. total mount
paid $14.53. On August 26, 1960, the 1960 occupation tax was again paid by said Victor & Betty
Sapnoras but in the names of Victor and Betty Senoris, which was listed in the Cecil Occupation
Listing, thus causing a duplicate payment of said tax and- a , refvp.d, due in -the amount -of $2.56.
The Tax Assessment Office, is therefore, authorized to Oepare said refund voucher in the amount
of $2.56 made payable to Victor & Betty Saunoras, Box 273, Cecil, Pennsylvania-.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount
of $2.42 be made payable to John Yuhas,.:Courthouse,tiWashington, iP.ennsylvaniat .due to -duplicate
payment of 1960 occupation tax. On June 29, 1960, the 1960 ocoupation.tax was paid by John Yuhas
in.the amount.of,$1.,22 on Occupation -Listing in the 7th Ward of the City of Washington. On July
1, 1960, Mr. Yuhas, new owner,, of the following, described .propett y,, 6 room .brick. home,, Lot 4O7-
