Kirk] paid taxes in the total amount of $44.82, which amount includes occupation. thus creating a duplicate payment of occupation tax for the year 1960, in the amount of $2.42. The Tax Assess- ment Office, is therefore, authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $2.42 made payable to John Yuhas, c/o Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr.. Mazza, .that a refund voucher in the amount of $1.22 be made payable to Erma C. Vankirk, 2nd Street, Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, due to tax paid in error. Mrs. Vankirk paid taxes on .property situate in the Borough of Bentleyville, Wash- ington County, Pennsylvania, property assessed in the name of Edward R. Vankirk and Erma G. Vankirk and tax paid at discount for the year 1960. Mr. Vankirk died in November of 1959 and his occupa- tion tax was listed in error, thus making an overpayment in the amount of $1.22. The Tax Assess- ment Office, is therefore, authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $1.22 made payable to Erma C. Vankirk, 2nd Street, Bentleyville, Pennsylvania. Receipt on •file in the Office of the Tax Assessment. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Personal Property Department of the Tax Assessment Office, prepare a refund voucher in the amount of $3.83 to be made payable to Cora B. McGill, R. D. 43, Claysville, Pennsylvania, said refund to cover the supplemental portion of the Personal Property Tax paid August 19, 196.0 for the year 1959. On June 1, 1960, an Arbitrary Assessment was made against Cora B. McGill to the amount of $7140. This assessment was based on an Article of Agreement valued at $5505 and 48 , shares of Merlin Rockwell stock valued at $870.00 to' which a 12•1 assessment penalty was added. Cora B. McGill appealed this assessment as the Article of Agreement had been cancelled. However, she did pay $3.63, the amount of tax due on the Marlin Rockwell stock. Since this stock is exempt from the 4-mill tax, a refund is due. Therefore, the Personal Property Department of the Tax Assessment Office,is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $3.83, payable to Cora B. McGill,'R. D. 93, Clayssville, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of $2.50 be made payable to Anna Dally, R. D. 1, Charleroi, Pennsylvania, due to duplication of occupation tax in Long Branch Borough for the years 1958 and 1959, The 1958 occupation tax was paid at discount in the amount of $1.22 and the 1959 occupation tax was paid at face in the amount of $1.28, making a total payment and refund of $2.50. The records show an occupation listing in the name of Anna Dally also a real estate listing in the name of Ann Marie Dally and Clarence E. Dally in said borough of Long Branch. When paying the 1958 and 1959 real estate tax, which included the occupation tax, a duplicate payment was created in the said amount of $2.50. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund to Anna Dally, R. D. 1, Charleroi, Pennsylvania. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of $1.22 be made payable to Mary Levers, 262 East Pike Street, Houston, Pennsylvania, due to duplicate payment of 1960 Occupation Tax. Mrs. Levers, was assessed with occupation tax in Houston Borough, which is incorrect, being that her occupation tax is listed with her real estate property which is situate in Chartiers Township, assessed in the names of James A. and Mary A. Levers. On July 1, 1960, Mr. and Mrs. Levers paid their 1960 County Real Estate Tax including Mrs. Levers Occupation Tax. Mrs. Levers also paid her 1960 Occupation Tax (which was listed separately)thus causing a duplicate payment in the amount of $1.22 for her 1960 occupation.tax. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office, is hereby authorizetd to prepare said refund voucher to Mrs. Levers, whose correct mailing address is Meadowlands, Pennsylvania. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of $1.22 be made payable to James Levers, 262 East Pike Street, Houston, Pennsylvania, due to duplicate payment of 1960 Occupation Tax. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the resignation of Rose Hayes, Cleaning Woman, at the Courthouse be accepted. This action to be effective the 16th day'of 1 �J October, 1960, Motion carried.
