BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Malone Chemical Company of
Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, be awarded the contract for the washroom -sanitation maintenance
service throughout the Courthouse. Services are to be on a weekly basis and to include labor,
chemicals and equipment, plus maintaining an inventory of chemicals needed for the Courthouse for
every day washroom requirements. On the first service of each month all fixtures and was basins
are to be serviced. Subsequent service in that month will include all commodes and urinals. The
cost per month for this weekly service will be $92.00. Effective date of contract being January
1, 1961.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting

Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being: Commissioners
Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution of ft
Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, relative
to the issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Seventy Five Thousand ($175,000.00)
Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board to -wit:
"WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred
Seventy Five Thousand ($1751000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the
year 1960, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed
and have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1960; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washing-
ton, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County,
the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tem-
porary louion such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have been
levied and to be collected during the year 1960, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary
to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and
issue a note therefore, payable December 30, 1960, with interest from date of said note at the
rate of two and one half per cent QV06 per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note
to be negotiated and issued as follows:

Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the Performance Bond filed with
Washington County by the Western Pennsylvania Research Associates Inc., in connection with the
contract entered into for the Re -Assessment of real estate be reduced to the sum of $50,000.00
effective December 1, 1960.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.
