Board of County Commissioners in special session those being present:
Ce"tssioners Pettit, Cummins, and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County
Controller be authorized to advertise for furnishing Fleet Insurance in a reliable and approved
stock company for public liability, proporty damage, comprehensive A.C.V., Fire, theft and
collision coverage on trucks, automobiles, and road -building machinery owned and operated by
Washington County. Bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office in the Courthousu
Washington, Pennsylvania, until 11:00 A.M., Eastern Standard Time, Monday, February 6, 1961, an(
opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the monthly rate of
$10.00 paid to William H. Martin Transfer, 1519 North Main Street, Washington, Pennsylvania, foi
the disposing of refuse be increased to $20.00 per month, this action being effective January, 1961.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by for. , seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the County enter int(
an agreement with Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation, Wheeling Branch, 1071 West Main Street,
Wheeling, West Virginia, for addressograph service for machinery located in the Registration Office
for the sum of $197.52 annual fee.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr-. Mazza, that the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Washington, renew notes dated October 27, 1969 in the amount of
$100,000.00 and December 1, 1960, in the amount of $175,000.00. Renewal note to be in the amount
of $275,000.00 (this being the combined figure of the above mentioned notes.)
The following resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County
of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a Note
for Two Hundred Seventy Five Thousand ($275,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented
duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to wit:
"WII REAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the gun of
Two Hundred Seventy Five Thousand ($275,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current
expenses for the year 1961, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which
have been assessed and have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1961;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County
of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of

the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to
negotiate a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out bf ttices
which have been levied and to be collected during the year 1961; and so much of said taxes as
may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that
purpose, and issue a note, therefore, payable August 7, 1961, with interest from date of said
note at the rate of two andd one-fourth per cent (2j%) per annum, free of all taxes levied by the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to
pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows:
PITTSBURGH NATIONAL BANG, WASHINGTON, FENNSiZVANIA...................................$275,000.0O
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time,
the meeting adjourned.
